Creepy Crawlies

I live in a damp-ish gully near a forest and there are lots of plants and trees around my area. It's the perfect place for insects and spiders. After a hot day there are an intimidating amount of bugs around the lights on my porch so spiders figure it's the perfect place to be.

Of all the random spiders there are two regulars. One is huge, black and shiny and has built its web right on one of the lantern light covers at the end of my verandah. That's prime real estate.

The other spider is about the same size, but brown. That one has a tough time getting food and I'm amazed it's still alive.
It builds immense webs between the ferns in front of my verandah but the bugs don't fly through there at night. Lately it's been moving further left towards the light but still staying between the ferns.
Last night I was outside on the phone, having a smoke and watching it build a new web in this new spot so I took a few photos because it looked so cool.

I just love creepie crawlies. I used to be afraid of spiders when I was young but I love them now! We have some really fat ones living around our house. I also have one in my room named Antoine, but he has to go outside sometimes to catch a meal.

Haha, yeah I don't know why spiders think living in the corners of my room is a good idea. There's no food in there!

I still don't really like spiders exactly. I don't like them if they're in the house, but if they're outside, well, that's okay. Outside is their house.

Spiders usually make their home in the bathroom at my house. We have a fake plant in there. I can't blame them: The plant is roomy and the bathroom always smells clean.

We had a HUGE white tail in our bathroom last week. Ewwwwww.
I don't mind if they're small. They can do what they want if they're small. smile

I killed a huntsman in my room before. Damn spiders are all over the house today. It wasn't even that hot!

Yes. Yes we do. And white tails. Big ones. And trapdoor spiders. Guess what they do. They're ******** nasty.

Why do they all come to my house?! Gah! I mean, I'm used to watching out for spiders that can kill you in a second, it's just so annoying in summer when they're all inside.
Haha! I just looked at my door and I can see a little imprint of the huntsman I killed with my sandal last night. Stupid thing. Just casually walking up my door.

hahaha you know the most lethal arachnid is the daddy long legs... but it has no teeth to use the venom. XD
