"Keep up now, keep up." Ivie was walking with swift, nervous steps. As much as she loved this pride she was wary of being so close to it's centre without official entry. That wasn't the only reason, though.
She was concerned that she'd bump into Ausi again, or that she might bump into one of her friends. No doubt she'd gone and told people all of her 'deeds'. Ivie felt bad about what she had done. She'd never meant to hurt Ausi like she had.
Yet, her guilt could not cover up her obsessive love for the grey and white male.
It was him she was searching for now, because today was the day she was going to tell them of their little family. She stopped and something landed hard against her hind legs. "Nissa! Watch where you're going."
Nissa, lying in a crumpled heap on the floor, shook her head and pulled herself up onto her paws. She glared, angrily up at her mother but said nothing, her jaw set firmly.
She had her mother's stubborn streak, that was for sure. But she had something else as well, a growing hatred for her mother's obsession with all this pretence.
She had to pretend her father was this stranger she never knew. She had to pretend she was a seer, though what one of those was, little Nissa didn't yet understand. Her rebellious stubborn nature had mother and daughter clashing more often than not, yet still, she was here, trotting along like an obedient little dog.
"We're almost there, sweetie." Ivie's tone lightened at seeing her daughter's eyes darken. It wouldn't do to have Nissa in a foul mood before they met her father-to-be.
So, she continued on, conversing with her daughter on the weather, for the lack of anything else to say.
Then when Fedha's scent caught heavy on the air, she lowered her voice, tugged her daughter close. "Watch your manners Nissa." Then, parting her jaws she gave a low, requesting grunt.

Fedha was lounging on a large driftlog far up on the beach; the tide was out so the water was far away at this time. His eyes were half shut as he stared out at the horizon, chest rising and falling as he tried to keep cool. The faint, salty breeze seemed to help him acomplish that.
His tail flicked and he sighed, shutting his eyes fully. Ausi and he were not on speaking terms.. she'd gotten so upset with him! He still didn't know what to do about it, even though it'd been days.

There he is... She thought to herself, glancing out across the stretch of golden sand to where the grey male was lounging. She halted Nissa with a paw and raised her head, mentally preparing herself for this.
This was it. Her last attempt at getting into Fedha's heart. If she couldn't do it alone then her /seer/ daughter was the only one who could aid her in drawing Fedha's love.
She trotted across the sand trying to pretend that she had bumped into him by accident.
"Fedha'Kialio!" She called, allowing the wind to carry her voice to him. "Long time no see." She seemed cheerful enough...
Nissa, pouting at being dragged along, hopped after her mother, trying to get her paws to meet up with the prints left behind by her mother's larger pads.
When she heard her mother speak, the girl looked up, blinking into the light. She said nothing, but her face was full of curiosity.
So this was the lion that had her mother's heart.
