When I was very young there were several cartoons that ran on Nickelodeon; Adventures of the Little Koala, Noozles, The Littl' Bits, and Maya the Bee, these were actually some of the first anime I ever watched, but were before I even knew what anime was.
Along with these there was also Speed Racer and Voltron running on TV, again I had no idea what anime even was back in those days. There was also this movie, Unico, that Disney ran on TV that I absolutly loved. As well as the movie Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland was another film I enjoyed while I was younger, think we actually have that one.
It wasn't till the Sci-Fi Channel ran Akira (along with several other anime) that I really became aware of the world of anime. Though, all the way back then it was called Japanimation.

Chaotic Mana Wow, and I thought I had seen a lot. That's so awesome Artemis Vulpes, you've seen the 80's Vampire Hunter D. You're my hero since most people don't know that one. I saw the original way back when it aired on the Sci-Fi channel. 3nodding I got to see Blood Lust actually in a theater and own both on DVD. Sadly, there is only an English track for Blood Lust. Do not know why they did not add the original Japanese track with subtitles in English.

I saw it when it aired a block of Japanese animation movies, like Lensmen and Robot Carnival. I Have both Vampire Hunter D movies too and I am reading the books. I was starting to think there wasn't a Japanese version on the second movie because I don't know any who has seen it. It would have been wicked to see in theaters though.

Naw, it is just a hobby and past time for me, nothing I could every see myself doing as a career. Well, I would love to do some voice acting, but that is for cartoons in general.
