(( xp sweatdrop It's a bit late for a birthing RP, so I've decided to set up a RP between Vinya'nyota and her 3 cubs. RP order is the order I would've birthed them in. So Vinya'nyota/Sononeka (me) first, then Thelugi (LSX) second and then Vinca (Syri) last. ))

Vinya'nyota was still half asleep when she heard the unmistakable sound of her cubs moving around the den. The white lioness had always hated being woken up early, even when she was a cub herself. There was never anything to look forward to back then, so she would always do her best to just roll over and go back to sleep. Things weren't that simple anymore.

"Kids, could you please keep it down?" She murmered as her eyes struggled to open. Her lavender eyes were eventually revealed, allowing her to look around and see what her cubs were going.

Her eldest son, Sononeka, was sat in the corner of the den on his own. Unfortunatly, this was the norm for him, as he wasn't really the most social of cubs. Blinking, he noticed the movement of his mother, and quickly turned away from her when he saw that she was looking at him. Neka wasn't an attention seeker, he just genuinely didn't want attention.

The middle child, Thelugi' had woken up with a stretch and a mew, tiny paws stretched out as his lavender eyes blunk once or twice to get rid of the sleep that almost painfully clung to them.
He briefly shook himself before he turned to his mother, blinking as she spoke before he smiled nervously.

"Sorry mama." He said, even from the start, the little blue and white cub had been eager to please his mother and he moved slowly over to the large pale form, before placing a small lick upon her cheek.
Almost as an apology.

Outgoing and constantly on a high the youngest cub turned around to look at her mother with a giggle. "Sorry Mama, I was jus' singin' to tha mornin'!" She puurrs bouncing away from the entrance to the den her deep cyan hide shimmering in the dappled morning rays.

Bouncing up behind her sibling she pounced on top of him to lick her mothers nose. "I heard a really good morning song mama do you wanna hear it?" She grins her legs spread-eagled over Thelugi attempting to gain her mothers attention. Being the youngest and the only girl she felt she needed to try the hardest to get her mothers praise.

Vinya'nyota managed a soft chuckle as Thelugi apologised. "Don't worry about it." She said with a grin, before lifting a paw up and pulling Thelugi close to her side for a cuddle. She then returned his affection by licking him right on the forehead.

When Vinca attempted to clamber over her brother, Vinya'nyota laughed and rolled on to her back, carefully keeping hold of her white son in one arm whilst scooping up her blue daughter with the other. With the two resting on her stomach, she smiled and nodded at Vinca. "I'd love to hear it."

As she said that, she leant her head backwards to see what Neka was doing. "Neka, do you want to come over here and hear your sister's song?"

Sononeka looked on as Thelugi and Vinca greeted their mother. He couldn't understand why they were so eager to recieve their mother's attention. It's not like anything came of it. At his mother's question, he shook his head silently, before getting up and walking to the mouth of the den.

As he peered outside, a small frown touched his face as he faced yet another sunny day. He much prefer the night, when the clouds were dark grey and the sky was black. His mother had told him about a thing called a storm, and its ability to make the day turn dark. That's what he was waiting for.

As the little white cub was scooped up with his sister, snuggling into his mothers fluffy chest while he enjoyed the closeness of his youngest sibling.
He loved his family, even his moody older brother whom he looked towards as he was asked to listen to their sisters song.
As he didn't reply, Thelugi' narrowed his eyes before smiling happily.

"Well I wanna hear your song!" He said happily.

Vinca smiled happily puffing out her chest though she gave her eldest brother a quick glare. Fine if he didn't want to listen she would just sing it to the happy people.

Taking a deep breath the little female cleared her throat and sang in a very sweet bird like fashion, her voice simply beautiful.

"Good morning sunshine,
the world says hello!
Good morning sunshine,
I'm here to say hello!
Good morning day break,
can I sing you up today?
Good morning Sunshine,
I'm here to say hello!"

She giggles and wriggles her tail happily. "Thats all i got so far do you like it mummy?"

Vinya'nyota rolled her eyes at Sononeka. She always made the effort to include him whenever she was playing with her other cubs, and he almost always never wanted to take part. She didn't hold it against him though, as she knew from experience that it can take a while for one's personality to flourish. "That's alright son, just make sure you stay in the den."

Smiling, she turned back to Thelugi and Vinca. "Whenever you're ready Vinca." She said with a nod. As the little female cub sang, Vinya'nyota purred. At this rate, her daughter will have found her own rhythm before she did. When Vinca was finished, she leaned up to nuzzle her daughter. "That was wonderful!"

Sononeka obeyed his mother and stayed within the den. He didn't much want to go out anyway, so it wasn't a problem. He could watch the sky just fine from the mouth of the den.

When his sister started singing, the grey cub flattened his ears. Unfortunatly, he didn't much appreciate his sister's voice as much as his mother did. Then again, he didn't really appreciate any forms of expression.

"Mother, when will the storm come?" His voice was barely inaudiable, despite the fact that he had waited until his sister had finished singing before he spoke up.

Thelugi couldn't help but twirl his paws to the rythm of his younger siblings singing, sure it was a little nazily to his young ears right now but he'd certainly get used to it more and smiled at her when she was done.

"Indeed! Well done sister!" He said happily, looking at her with that confident, elderly brother smile till his older siblings words caught his ears and he jumped down from his mothers tummy and moved closer to him.
He did love his brother, dearly so, he just couldn't understand why he was so miserable.

"It'll come soon, brother, you'll see." He said, trying to insert some of that young optimism his way.

Vinca smiled happily at the praise she gained from both her mother and one of her brothers. She sighed and looked at her brother at the cave mouth with a roll of her eyes. "whats so important about the dumb old storm any ways?" She pouted and flumpped down on her motehrs stomach. "One of the other lions told me a song about the rain." She wriggles her tail happily looking at her two older brothers and tilting her head.

"She said the rain is very important it makes the land green." She paused and looked at her mother "I think it's kinda iky it makes everything smell wet." She pulled her tongue and made a face her eyes closeing comically.

Vinya'nyota grinned proudly, happy to see that at least two of her cubs got on so well together. When Thelugi went to join his older brother, the pale female carefully placed her daughter back on the ground so that she could roll on to her stomach and lift her head up to watch. She had barely heard what Sononeka had said, but was pleased to see that Thelugi was being supportive.

"Your brother is right Neka." She smiled. "Storms come and go as they please, but they never stay away for too long." When Vinca chimed in, Vinya'nyota nuzzled her and then shook her head, attempting to remind her that Sononeka was a tad sensitive.

Sononeka blinked at Thelugi as he approached, only to turn away when he reached him. "You don't know that." He murmered, waiting for his mother's answer. When she confirmed what his brother had said, rather than apologising to Thelugi, he just nodded.

Unfortunatly, despite his seemingly distant frame of mind, he heard what his sister said when she spoke up. "What's so important about your dumb old singing?" The grey cub said with a frown.

Thelugi winced at her brothers words and just stepped back a little while still technically being close to her older sibling, he loved his brother and sister a lot...he just couldn't see why his brother acted so harsh some of the times.
However, as his sister piped in he cocked his head curiously before she watched his brothers reaction.

"Guys, don't fight, please?" He sort of begged as he looked between the both of them, hoping his sister wouldn't be offended by Sono.

Vinca through a glare at her oldest sibling and marched up to him a pout on her lips. "At least I WANT to learn to sing and be happy and stuffs, the other lion told me that you has to makes musics to be part of this place thingie! You're just a sour faced meanie!" She pulled a tongue and turned around quickly flicking her eldest brother in the face with her tail before bouncing back towards her mother and burying her face in her mothers chest.

"He sucks." she mumbles, her words muffled by her mothers thick fur.

Seeing that things were slowly but surely going downhill, Vinya'nyota got to her feet and padded over to the two brothers. As she passed Thelugi, she licked his forehead. "You're such a good boy." She said with a smile. He reminded her somewhat of her older sister Zagaa, who was really the only sister she had cared about. Zagaa had always been the one who was looking out for the rest, even though they rarely appreciated it.

"Sononeka, dear, I wish you would at least try and cheer up." Her tone of voice was soft, as she certainly wasn't angry at him. Vinya'nyota had been just like him when she was young, always miserable and not wanting to socialise. She knew that it wouldn't be easy to change her son's disposition, but she had to try.

When Vinca came marching over, the pale lioness moved between her and her brothers. "Please Vinca, just leave him be." Again, her tone of voice was understanding. When the blue cub buried her head in her chest, she smiled and petted the back of her neck with her paw.

Sononeka fell silent after insulting his sister. It's not like he wanted to argue, not really. He just felt as if no one understood him, and so there was no reason for him to make the effort to understand them.

"Whatever." He murmered, seemingly ignoring his family. "One of these days I'll just leave and never come back. Then you'll be sorry." Saying that, Sononeka turned and headed back into the den, without even glancing at his mother or his siblings.

It seems he was wrong.

Thelugi' watched at her older and younger sibling argued, brows furrowing as he watched on.
He didn't bother putting himself between the two, it was pointless, but welcomed the nice words from his mother and smiled happily up at her before going back to watch his brother and sister.

He watched as his sister suddenly moved and buried her head in their mothers chest, furrowing his brows before he watched his brother and moved a step or two closer.

"Yeah...we would...we'd miss you if you did that, brother."

Vinca huffed and sat close to her mother watching her brothers quietly. She just didn't understand why Sononeka had to be so grouchy all the time! Crumpling her brow she sat quietly for a long moment listening to her other brother try and console the salmon maned male.

"Beleive it or not we'd be wondering wheer you are." She pulls a tongue at him and pads off towards the back of the den to lie in a sulky little heap. Her brother was such a doodey head, in her honest oppinion but that didn't mean she didn't like him. He was still her brother after all.

She turned and looked towards the entrance and her mothers back after a long moment "Mama can we go and play before it rains? it's borin' in here." She pouts her paws gripping at some invisable thing above her head.
