I received a message when I started my Emerald game up the other day. It said that the internal clock had run out. Is there a way to fix this problem or am I stuck without time-based events forever?

You can probably get it fixed by sending it in to Nintendo.

When it says the clock has run out, that means a battery inside the game pak has died, so you'd have to replace the battery to get it to work again.

You could do the repair yourself, but if you're not careful, you could mess up the game in the process. Here's a link to a guide that tells you how to do this.

P.S. This might also delete your game save, so use caution.

Save time, money and effort, and just buy a new game pak.

Or use a rom. You own the actual pak, so it's completely legal.

EDIT: Actually, the legality of this is questionable depending on location and company.

Basically, do whatever is the best so as not to kill your game.
