Second Round Match 1: Shuna Vs Kasumi: Winner Kasumi

You are both lead back into the arena to the roar of the crowds. Kasumi is lead in from the North and Shuna from the South. As you enter you notice the large round field has sustained some damage from the previous fights. The two giant weeping willow trees seem a little roughed up as well. One of them has even taken quite extensive damage with a dent in the side from exploding tags. The Jounins stop at the entrance way and patting you on the back they smile and offer you congratulations on your past wins and encouragement for this next one. "Show them how it's done Kasumi!" One give says giving the Cloud nin a thumbs up. "I expect a good match from you both." Says the one with Shuna winking as he turned around.

Kasumi turned her head to the Jounin and smirked. After that she turned back to the area and got a serious face. This was going to be hard after the last match.

As she got roughly a quarter way to the center she stops, then tilted her head up to see Kasumi. shuna smiles with her head slightly tilted to the left. Kasumi noted the smile that Shuna had on her face. This match might be harder than she thought now. That smile has a great amount of confidence in it. Kasumi stretched her arms out, popped her knuckles and took her fighting stance.

Shuna kept her smile as she also took a fighting stance. Shuna's fighting stance was near the same as Kasumi's this was going to be an interesting match for sure.

A slight cold breeze blew as the two girls stood there in their stances analyzing each other. As the breeze cleared Kasumi rushed in throwing a punch at Shuna.

Shuna quickly moved to the left and blocked the punch, then retallinated with her own punch with her left arm. This punch was going over Kasumi's right arm heading straight for the head.

Shuna quickly moved to the left and blocked the punch, then retallinated with her own punch with her left arm. This punch was going over Kasumi's right arm heading straight for the head.

Using her left arm Kasumi blocks the incoming punch that Shuna threw in response to her initial attack. Kasumi spun her body to the left. Kasumi twisted around bringing her right elbow up to strike Shuna in the right side of the neck.

Using her left arm Kasumi blocks the incoming punch that Shuna threw in response to her initial attack. Kasumi spun her body to the left. Kasumi twisted around bringing her right elbow up to strike Shuna in the right side of the neck.

Shuna blocked the elbow, and open palm struck Kasumi in the kidney area of her back. Those that knew of Shuna's family clan would recognize the strike as a trade mark attack known as Hyuken no Mizu (Flowing Water Palm). Attacks in this fashion are like rippling water that passes threw the target, and are extremely damaging if preformed hitting vital points.

Kasumi felt something like a shockwave hit her in the back. She pushed with her elbow, and dashed away a bit. Kasumi held her side as the pain slowly went away. She was careless and left an opening she shouldn't have. Kasumi knew that Keade would be on her case about that one.

Shuna moved back a little from being pushed off by Kasumi. Shuna took her fighting stance again. She closed her eyes and began to focus. The air around her started to feel like flowing water. Shuna was gathering Chakra for something.

Kasumi looked at Shuna and then remembered a time when she saw Linea and Keade standing on the lake when she was 13. Kasumi calmed herself and took her stance as well. After a moment passed Kasumi opened her fists and closed her eyes, she was going to see if she could sense Shuna's chakra.

Shuna moved back a little from being pushed off by Kasumi. Shuna took her fighting stance again. She closed her eyes and began to focus. The air around her started to feel like flowing water. Shuna was gathering Chakra for something.

Kasumi looked at Shuna and then remembered a time when she saw Linea and Keade standing on the lake when she was 13. Kasumi calmed herself and took her stance as well. After a moment passed Kasumi opened her fists and closed her eyes, she was going to see if she could sense Shuna's chakra.

Shuna opened her eyes and began preforming jutsu signs. Her hands were moving at a incredible rate, even some of the Jounin watching her were having a hard time following the gestures. She quickly grabbed a small gort from her side and tosted it up. With the speed of her hand Shuna punched the gort breaking it in two. This released a small amount of water that she bagan swirling around in a circle using her arms.

Kasumi's eyes sprung open as she sensed something she hadn't since she was very small. "WHAT?" she says out loud. Looking apon Shuna Kasumi realized that she was going to be able to pull any punches in this fight. This "Mist nin" was more than anyone really knew, except maybe the Kages. Kasumi did a few hand signs of her own and charged up, so that she could defend if need be.

The water that Shuna was controlling began to take a shape. Shuna waved her arms a few more times, then pushed out toward Kasumi with her hands positioned like claws. The water rushed in Kasumi's direction appearing like a serpant or dragon.
