The Weather....
Wetter, colder temperatures - wet season in Africa
Currently....
The death of Sinta'hare Hakuna'jina by a rogue was a blow felt by a good number of the pride, as many lions were descended from her or learned to fight from her. Neumare Moricorm returned after a long absence with a litter and a couple of new slaves. The pride's numbers are once again blooming as cubs are born...But the seers of the pride are getting odd feelings, as if some great change is on the horizon...yet none can see WHAT that change is...
Meanwhile, in the background... several members of the pride are plotting things, and currents stir beneath the surface....
In The Past....
Leadership has changed once again with Kifatamu succeeding Drathir, with the children of some older lions taking over the reins of the pride. There are unhappy stirrings amongst some of the pride over this development...

Plot Timeline Breakdown
For those of you who follow the pridal story, this is the the summary of the
events that have lead into current circumstance. Please check this thread
whenever you are referring to historical events of the pride or are participating
in current metaplot events

In the Past
Iartuupe was spoken to by Morifaer and inspired to restart the Aikanaro'hini.
His journey would result in the very beginnings of the pride we now know. Verge'lian came to hear about the founding of the new Aikanaro'hini pride and instated himself as the balancing second crown of the demons.
Once the first members of the pride were gathered, a new home was needed for the Aran'shale and their young cubs. It was at this time that they settled into the lands surrounding their sacred volcano. The chambers within the volcano only became accessible after the great earthquake that shook the lands of all of the shadows of Africa.
With a cultural center decided and the return of Morifaer, the pride settled into their new homes and prospered under the aloof rule of Iartuupe and Verge'lian. The population grew during this era and many new slaves and demons were brought under the banner of the Aikanaro'hini.
Spurned by Iartuupe, one of Verge'lian's promising heirs devoted his life to the pursuit of proving himself to both his father and Morifaer's chosen king. However, Iartuupe's growing instability resulted in his losing favour with the God of Demons and Morifaer saw fit to puppet Drathir when he saw the deep seated ire in the Prince's heart.
Manipulated by his god, Sil'in Drathir's intentions were twisted from a need to prove himself into a cold, hard quest for vengeance. Driven by Morifaer, Sil'in Drathir began to lust for the power of the throne and the blood of Iartuupe.
In the meantime, a long lost sibling of Iartuupe began to infiltrate the ranks of the demons for she saw the taint of idleness pervade the once-feared demons. Her name was Rhaen and with her she brought ghosts from Aikanaro'hini's past.
Once Drathir reached adulthood and was trained by Morifaer in mind and body, he challenged Iartuupe to a battle and stole the king's life, triggering the Tournament of Heirs, sparked a new era.
