-- AIM rp log between Nili'jicho (Maua) and Sewti ((DFA & Felyn))

Sunset greeted the small, white male lion padding a small stretch of beach up and down, up and down; he'd even managed to create a trench from padding over and over the same few meters of sand. Everytime he reached the end of the trench, Nili would turn and walk the other way, only to repeat the process as soon as he reached the other end. All the while, dark mutterings could be heard and though they were too soft to be understood, it was easy to see, even from a distance, how darkly frustrated the lion was.

After a few moments, he stopped padding, reared himself up to sit on his haunches and brought his paws up to his head, rubbing it roughly as a long, "ARRRRRRRRRG!!!" rattled his frame; he looked about ready to either bash his head upon a rock, or kill someone. Preferably the two objects of his frustration, whom were currently too ocupied being ******** morons to notice the whole dramatic situation was getting out of hand.

He needed someone to talk to, and his muse was being of no help; the flowers giggled and snarked around him when he'd gone for advice, obviously amused deeply by the situation. Nili couldn't begrudge them, for after all, had it been anyone other than Panu and Nerida, he'd have been snarking too. However, the notion he'd been pulled in the middle of it (Him and Nerida? Together?! What the ******** ********?) was enough to make the boy want to dunk his brother's head into the sea till he drowned. Or came to reason.

Whichever came first.

For the pale white lioness, today was just another day, not truly unlike any other. She'd was still adjusting to this new place, the place that she was now going to be calling home, and she was yet again on another adventure without the companionship of her muse. Kisi seemed a little more at ease in the pride, and thus, she felt less guilty about abandoning her for her own little walks. Unsurprisingly, Sewti actually seemed to be without a care in the world on this particular day, and as far as she knew, there was no drama within a hundred mile radius of her. She did so like to be oblivious, though.

"I dream days away, but that's okay," she sang, her eyes half shut, paws carrying her along the beach as she went. Unaware of any presence, she sang freely, not off-key or terrible, but not careful or serious in the slightest. It was often loud, though full of a happy passion, the sort of singing one happened to do when no one was looking. "It's like I want to hear a silent sound, and then hold it in - "

Her eyes flashed open at the sound of the irritated growl, head tilting slightly as she glanced around. If she were anyone else, she might have been embaressed, but being Sewti she was actually quite calm - especially after she saw who it happened to be. With a slight cough, she gathered herself and strolled closer, curious as always. "Something wrong, flower-boy?"

Amusingly enough, Sewti's appearance was heaven sent (as far as Nili was concerned at that particular moment in time); turning his head to watch her approaching figure he sent her a blank, almost pained look that seemed to scream 'YES I have a problem; where should I START?!'

Seeing as how he somehow doubted he was going to get much feedback with that however, the boy chose to toss his head back and moan in frustration (which was... needless to say, not the best choice of sounds given the situation), "YES something's wrong? You wanna know what?" he didn't wait for an answer, instead picking that moment to gesticulate wildly with his front paws, "I'll tell you what! Panu's a ******** idiot! And Kapuki's a god damned, bloody STUBBURN moron too! And they're both driving me up the wall! And Panu thinks Kapuki and I are in love and he's a ******** a*****e because I AM NOT! I'm..." he paused then, blinking slightly, shouts cut short as he tried to figure out how to continue, "Uhm, I'm...." how was he supossed to put it? "Special," he decided uneloquently, as he frowned, having lowered his voice, even though it raised as he continued to talk once more.

"And Kapuki's too..." too... what? Femenine? Girly? ...too... tooooooo.... "She's too KAPUKI like! I can't ARRRRRG PANU'S A MORON!" he concluded as he dropped himself to the ground, eye twitching severely. Boy, getting that off his chest was nice, even if it was probable Sewti had understood little to nothing of what he'd said.

Sewti had opened her mouth originally to say something, but had simply gotten bowled over and cut off by the torrent of words that had come streaming from his mug. With a little sigh, as if she were giving in, she flopped down and listened as he rambled on about the situation that she only knew bits and pieces of and had to struggle to make any sense of at all.

Though, she did smirk as he mentioned being special, and Kapuki being too Kapuki-like. She seemed to understand that just find, no matter how many issues he was having with explaining it. Though she was an odd one, and certainly not your most typical female out there, she did seem to be quite perceptive. She didn't mention it, though, at least not that exact portion of the million little details.

"Well, sounds like this place is full of drama," she said with a bit of a sigh, tossing her gaze over her shoulder as if she expected some female to come barelling over the dunes with streaming tears down her face. "Though I'm really not sure what you can expect. I mean, after all, Panu is pretty dense and from what I gather from bits of conversation, Kapuki is a bit 'special' in her own right." She managed to say the word without coming off as offensive, though she did quirk her brow and tilt her head slightly, as if even she wasn't quite sure what it meant.

All in all, Nili felt useless; mostly because he'd tried to verbaly knock sense into his brother and had failed miserably. He daren't even try Kapuki herself, out of fear she'd retreat even further into denail; besides, she was nowhere to be found. Knowing her, she'd probably gone off on her own, too frustrated with Panu to stay. Since there was nothing he could do, he found himself doing something he had never thought he'd allow someone to see him do; he angsted. When Nili angsted, he angsted HARD.

Oddly amusing was the fact the usualy elegant male was flopped on the floor carelessly, his mane in a dissaray, his pelt obviously needing a groom, and his ... well, he looked like he should tidy up; despite all that he seemed perfectly fine with showing such a pathetic sight to the girl before him, "No, this place is usualy quite ******** calm. Wanna know a secret? It's just them. It's all them. Everyone knows they wanna hit each other BAD yet they keep skirting around each other like idiot," the words were grumped, "Kapuki's in denial and won't take the first step, and Panu uses me as an excuse to not face his problem and not take his first step; seeing as how he RAN AWAY to the rogue lands when the problem last hit him in the face this is hardly surprising," raising his eyes towards the female's face, the small male let out a groan that indicated he needed help. And a solution. And out of this problem because in all honesty, if those two didn't kill eachother HE was going to kill them.

"....I think we're all quite special in our own ways around here," some more so than others, he thought to him, and in his mind his laughter rang deadpan, "You don't seem surprised when I tell you I'm special, why the ******** not."

Sewti made note of the disarray that had seemingly overtaken the previously prissy male, and wondered to herself how badly the pair of lions had gotten to him. She'd long by now determined that Kapuki and he must be close if Panu was confusing them for lovers of any sort (he wasn't stupid, he wouldn't have made the assumption based upon nothing) and Panu was, after all, his own flesh and blood. She supposed she would have been a little frustrated as well, but she had never dealt with love in any sort of similar situation, personal or not, so she had no idea what this was even remotely like. A horde of brothers didn't leave time for talk of fairy tales and true love.

"So that's why he ran away," she said softly, clicking her tongue as she glanced out at the ocean. They had never brought it up, although it was dreadfully obvious that Panu had run away from home to escape something. She had always assumed he would tell her in time, but she supposed it didn't really matter now - she would hear it anyway. "It seems as if that did him some good though, even if it was for the wrong reasons, and even if it wasn't the bravest thing to do. It helped him, a lot." She offered Nili a weak smile as she turned back, flickering her tail. "Maybe in time he will realize. He may be dense sometimes, but he is not without a brain entirely."

"Why not?" she said, rather surprised, relaxing herself into the sand. With a shrug, she let out a slight laugh. "I dunno, I just don't. Panu mentioned it before, and here I am looking at you, and if I didn't know you were with my own senses, then I'd think something was quite wrong with me."

Not only was the fact he wasn't being believed getting to him (it didn't matter how many times he told Panu that he was, in fact, not interested in Kapuki at all); there was also the issue that no matter what he tried, he was stuck right smack in the middle and he could do nothing to help because acording to Panu he was 'biased', "I wouldn't steal the girl he likes away from him... the moron says Kapuki's what he wants and not what he 'needs'. He says he needs a 'partner... what the ******** ******** a partner, what he needs is to stop making up excuses, that's what."

The words were grumped; it was obvious he was drained out. After all, it'd been earlier that day when he'd basicly had a screaming match against Panu, "He hit me, you know, before he left. Says he's not sorry. I don't give a damn if he is or not; fact is, it's all in his head. Why can't he believe me? When YOU told me you two were not lover, I believed it. Why am I any diferent. What's the big diference."

His gaze raised to watch Sewti, the line of his maw grim, "What, he didn't tell you? It was the main reason he left; he thought I'd 'stolen' her from him. He hit me, and left in a huff," a pause followed, "He almost hit me this morning when I was trying to..... knock sense into him," of course what with Nili's odd ways and his usual sense of words, this was no surprise, "The problem is they don't HAVE the time. They're too stubborn; both of them. Neither is willing to yield to take the first step and meanwhile I sit there and think they're morons because it's so obvious to the rest of the world. That and Panu says he needs a partner," a pause, for some reason this idea was oddly frightening, "Partner... what the hell does that mean; what's it worth, having a partner, if it's not the one you love? I might not be manly... I might be a b***h, but even I know that much."

A snort of wry amusement was released, "You think something's wrong with YOU?" a brow was arched, and slowly, ever so slowly, he raised his head from the ground, "Have you taken a look at me?" another snort, "If I tell you Kapuki's almost like my twin sister in personality... give me three guesses WHY I don't feel what Panu thinks I feel for her."

She chuckled quite suddenly, shutting her eyes, and just let the whole idea wash over her. Two stubborn gits, both in love with the other, and neither one willing to be the first to give in. It was an amusing thought, and she damn well couldn't help laughing at it. "Sometimes excuses are easier than facing reality and you can't really force someone to stop, you know. It's part of growing up."

"Well, I can't say that I really should be defending him, being that I don't know what's going on, but I think I know what Panu's big gripe here is." She clicked her tongue, batting lightly at her own tail as it flickered in the sand. "You and this Kapuki girl have been close for a really long time, and maybe she was nicer to you than she was to Panu? Then there's me and Panu, who've only known each other a little while, so when I say we're not lovers, it's easier for someone to believe." She glanced up at him from a low angle, where she was leaned over playing idley with the pale tip of her tale. It meant she had to look at him half through the tuft of mane that fail to her face, but she was too lazy to toss it out of her way. "You know you'd never be interested in Kapuki, she knows it, I guess I know it, but if Panu is tied up as tightly emotionally with her as you say, he may just be blinded by his own feelings. Jealousy is a terrible monster."

She frowned, though, at the mentioning of a partner, unsure if that meant that Panu really wasn't looking for love. They really had gotten close, and he was as important to her as any of her true brothers had been - perhaps even more now that she'd not seen any of them in ages. "A partner? I'm not.. sure," she said slowly, softly, poking a paw at the sand as her brow furrowed in thought, "maybe he means someone equal to him on all levels, or what he thinks is equal. I don't know, there's a number of silly things he could be thinking." She didn't want to judge him now, but that did seem like an odd thing to say. She'd wait and see, she supposed.

"Because.. it would be incest?" she said with a smirk and a quirk of her brow, completely joking, as she was sure she knew what the true reason was. It was always easier for her to bea joker than it was to be serious, though.

"Panu's big gripe here is that he's a ******** idiot, that's what; you two were alone, together in the rogue lands, doing god knows what. Kapuki and I grew up together. We weren't even ... nearing adulthood when Panu ran off," a snort passed his nose at this point, "He grew up in the roguelands alone, and came back with you; for all WE know you could've know eachother for a long while and experimented together. For all WE know, you could've both done countless things. WE could not. We've been watched, and besides the whole pride knows we were busy looking for PANU anyhow. You tell me."

As the rant was finalised, he waved a paw; it was useless anyhow. THey could talk about it endlessly and not fix it, because at the end of the day, it wasn't Nili's problem, and it wasn't Sewti's either. When it all came down to it, it was something that Kapuki and Panu had to fix together, not something someone else could fix; it was probably that notion that was driving the small male up the wall. He knew both parties involved well enough to understand they'd just skirt around eachother endlessly if left alone, and yet at the same time, no small push was going to work, because they were too busy being defensive.

Still, the idea of a partner bothered him, if only subconciously; he didn't know why and didn't dare cross into that territory as of yet. After all, he had enough trouble and drama as it was to handle any more of it, "Meh," he said suddenly, uneloquently (not that he was particularly eloquent whenever he wasn't singing though - his language was too colorful and his ideas seemed to ram one into another... even if he was rather sharp and intelligent, putting it all down into words seemed difficult for him).

A snort of amusement left him again at claim, "Incest? Well, ******** yes, but more than that, it'd be gay," and he wasn't gay. Well, not really. ... could he be concidered gay? Wow, dilema. However, her words seemed to have yanked him out of the angst, for he looked torn between bemused, confused and slightly appalled by the idea.

"I'll talk to him later," she said softly, nodding as he seemed to wind down about the arguement, about what was going on. "It's about time, I think, that we talked about why he was gone. Even if you just.. told me, I think Panu should maybe tell me himself." She seemed rather calm, though she did seem to be considering something. Probably just what the future conversation would entail. "I certainly won't let him throw something like this away, not if that girl really loves him." She clicked her tongue once more, then nodded, as if she had finally decided that she would indeed be discussing something with Panu.

"Gay, eh?" she said with a bit of a grin, quite happy that the conversation seemed to be heading in a different (if no less confusing) direction. At least now this was slightest interesting. "Are you sure it would be considered gay? I mean, I'm not sure over all the technicalities and all, but that seems like it could be a sticky business." She had no idea just what his preference was, had no intention to pry. If he was gay, physically or mentally (for he'd have to be gay either way, at least in some sense) she didn't truly seem to mind. Easy-going as ever, she was.

The notion that she was going to talk to his brother made the small male release a breath of air he didn't even know he'd been holding. Something told Nili that this girl would be much more fluent at talking with Panu than he was; no doubt about it, for in his mind, even the bloody birds were probably more able to talk with Panu without it endding in a fight than he was.

Something about Nili had always been able to push Panu's buttons in just the right ways to make the larger of the two brothers snap, "Good luck with that, then; I'm honestly tired of trying to talk sense into either of them," and that was that. He wasn't beating a dead horse any further.

A snort of amusement was released, "Well, gay, yes. Plus, let's not even go through the incestual.... tendencies that'd create," the smirk upon his maw twisted the words into almost sarcasm as he talked, "I'm not sure if it'd be really concidered gay or not to others. It would to me, and I am not gay," a pause, followed by a frown, "Well not technicaly, because... well..." he paused yet a again, making a small sound with his tongue over his teeth, "Whatever. Not like it matters. As I mentioned, I'm a prima dona," he placed his paw to his chest lightly, "Kapuki's sorta one too, and her and me, well, that'd be messed up. I need someone diferent than that. Still female, technicaly, but not quite so, at the same time. I have enough.... glamour for the both of us."

Right now, Sewti wasn't exactly sure what she was supposed to be saying to Panu, or how she was going to go about talking to him about a situation that he hadn't even really mentioned to her. She didn't know if this was pushing the boundaries of their friendship too far or not, but she wouldn't sit still and let this just pass him by. He needed help, from someone other than the brother whom he thought was so biased and terrible, and she seemed to be a damn good choice at the moment. He trusted her, after all, or at least she thought so. "I think I'll need it," she said softly, and she too, let the conversation rest.

She had no desire to dwell upon it, for that would only make her current conversation one that wasn't very enjoyable, so she simply pushed it to the back of her mind and let that carefree smile broaden once more. She liked to live her life without worry, and if she could avoid thinking about something until it needed to be done, well, then she would do it.

"I understand. That would be way too much drama in one relationship," she said with a little smirk curling her smile, brushing a paw at the white tuft that hung into her eyes, trying to keep it out of her face in a futile effort. "You mean you need something more along the lines of a tomboy?" Oh, this was odd territory to be discussing with a tomboy, but it only seemed to be making her smile more. She had an odd sense of humor, sometimes.

His worries placated for the time being, it was easy for Nili to let go of the conversation and focus on some much needed 'dumb s**t' as he was calling it in his brain. That's what he needed anyhow; he needed to think about some dumb topic that would not take much brain power on his side. His mind, was, after all, exhausted from all the previous worrying and pacing.

Had Sewti not arrived, it was probable he'd have snapped soon enough from an overload.

"Hmmm..." now that he thought about it, he figured she was right, "Maybe, yeah. I'm the girl of the relationship, but I don't like guys," he told her bluntly, which was odd to say the least. It was as if he were hinting at being a lesbian in a boy's body, which was twisted in it's own way; Nili had never had any problem admiting to that much, even from a young age, thus telling her did not seem odd to him. Of course, he'd not yet noticed she was a tomboy, which, needless to say, made the situation amusingly awkward, yet not quite.

Watching her paw bat at her fringe distracted him for a moment, and he frowned, "Hmmm... wait a moment," it was drawled as he stood up to leave her side. He vanished into the vegetation of the jungle for a moment, and when he reapered he seemed to be carrying a vine with a few flowers entangled in it, "Here, this'll help you keep that hair outta your eyes. I know what I'm talking about," after all, his mane had gotten in his eyes plenty before he'd discovered this way to keep it out.

Invading her personal space without even a second's thought, the boy reached with his paws and worked the vine so that is pelt the white hair out of her eyes; the couple of flowers that hung from the vines were not overly girly, somehow... the firey, pink colors on their leaves almost signaling danger. In fact, it was obvious the vines had previously held spines, which Nili had taken off before bringing it for Sewti's use, "Tad girly for your tastes, I'm sure, but it works wonders, and doesn't fall off with ease. You can even swim with it, if it's placed correctly," the vine in place, he retreated and looked at her with a critical eye, "It looks good, yah know."

She smirked lightly at his words, watching him from where she lay comfortably on her side. It didn't really surprise her, to tell the truth, but when did anything surprise her? She took everything anyone told her as if she expected it, and in truth, she probably did. An open mind left room for very few surprises. She had already come to terms with the fact that he was a female in a boy's body, so why not be a lesbian too? "Well, seems like a tomboy is probably your best bet. If you don't like real boys, but don't want a girly girl, that's the only alternative I can think of."

She opened her mouth to call after him as he vanished, furrowing her brows in wonder. It took only moments for him to come back, however, and she realized immediately what he was doing. "I.. guess.." was all she could really say before he invaded her space (not that she particularly cared about that part) and fashioned the vine to keep her hair out of her eyes.

"Tad girly indeed," she said lightly, rolling her eyes up in an attempt to glance at it, one paw poking lightly at the flowers that lingered on the vines. Well, she had seen girlier (on him, in fact) so she supposed it was alright. After all, he was just trying to help. "Not that I really need anymore flowers, or anything," she said, waving a paw at him. For as tomboyish as she was, she had mutliple flowers all over her body. Her paws were the most outstanding, but her face and rump were both marked as well.

"I'll take your word for it," she said, shifting in the sand to get more comfortable. She was almost awkward in her motions, as if the one girly object had made her extremely uncomfortable. She didn't like girly things - she wasn't good at being a girl.

"Ain't rushing it anyhow; got no real rush for anything. Besides... for the time being, you're rather interesting enough," it was not a confession at all; it was the truth. He did find Sewti extremely interesting, for some odd reason, "Not only are you the first that hasn't tryied to bite my head off on site, but you're interestingly .... amusing. I like you," he told her honestly, as if he'd just told her he liked the sky, the sea, or that flower over there. Bluntly honest... it was probably that personality trait that had gotten Nili most into trouble over the years. He'd never been able to keep his thoughts to himself; he always voiced what he thought, and at times... this wasn't the best etiquette.

Indeed; there were much girlier flowers on the male's body than the ones he'd picked up for her. Which was probably amusing, in a way; though he'd not yet acknowledge teh fact she was more a boy than he wasy, subconciously, he already probably knew, if his choice of flowers was any indication, "It's fine," he drawled with a smirk as he lay back down, his front paws crossing lightly, "We are who we are," a pause as he looked up to the sky, "I'll find you a better suitable accesory. One that fits you, for you, to keep your hair outta your eyes," it was a promise; odd because he hadn't really bothered to make, or give things to anyone other than Kapuki.

"That's the best way to approach anything," she said with a nod, "we've got all the time in the world and there's no use rushing it for silly things like romance." She had never really bothered with things like romance and flings, although her brothers had all been romancing the ladies by the time they had parted ways. She was sure, by now, she was an aunt multiple times over. She had just never really seen the use, or perhaps she herself wasn't sure what she really wanted either. "Well, I'm glad you like me. I like you too. You're fiesty, which I find amusing." She chuckled as she remembered the first time she had bumped into him, her smile broadening once more. She was easy going most of the time, where he was not, and that intrigued her. Amusingly enough, she wasn't put off by his bluntness in the slightest - probably because that happened to be one of her own bad habits.

"You don't have to," she said lightly, though the thought of him promising to get her something was oddly intriguing. She couldn't say she would mind, really, only that it was a new concept to her. She wasn't used to wearing things to keep her hair out of her eyes - she usually just batted at her mane tuft when it bothered her.

Indeed; Nili had never bothered himself with romance. He'd been present to watch Panu's develop, and he decided that love was not something to be pushed. He was rather content in his patch of flowers, thank you very much. For the time being, he needed nothing else. Or at least, it was his current state of mind on the issue. That was likely to change in the future though, it was obvious to any outlooker, even if it wasn't to either of the conversing lions.

"Fiesty?" the word was drawled out as if he found it foul tasting; it was followed by a snort as he raised his paw and touched his chest again in an extremely haughty, overdone manner, "I like to think myself as... open with my own emotions, s'all," which was needless to say, a huge understatement, specialy noticeable with how worked up he got over even the tiniest things. Now that he'd calmed down, his vocabulary seemed to have smoothened out and less curses slipped out. Entertaining, for sure.

As she spoke, he let his paw fall to the ground again, an odd expresion coming over his features, making him look blank; it hinted at seriousness, even if there was still humour in his eyes, "No," he told her, "I don't have to. True; but I want to."

"If that's what you want to think," she said with a little laugh, her eyes dancing with amusement. "I'm just going to keep calling you fiesty." She shrugged, though her smile had faded somewhat into a smirk. She did enjoy pushing his buttons a little, because he had the best reactions when she did. He amused her to be around, and she had a feeling she'd be seeing a lot more of the more feminine brother in the days to come.

"Alright," she said with a smile, her tail flickering as she watched him, "as long as you want to, then I suppose that's alright with me." She had never really had anyone give her anything at all before, and it was oddly endearing, in a way. One paw brushed up to the vine securely holding back her mane, touching the flower, and she could only smile.

"I'd better go and find that brother of yours, though," she said with a sigh, pushing herself up to her feet slowly. She paused, flicking her tail, and gave him one of her lopsided grins, "thank you, for this," she motioned to her hair piece. Then, with a muttered, "see you later," she turned and began to head off across the beach. She'd have liked to stay and talk with him more, but she really did need to find numb skull.

He answered her with a nod as she got up, and then a smirk that slowly faded into a smile as she left his side, wearing the vine he'd hasitly gotten for her. The idea she was wearing it, was oddly... heart warming, for reasons Nili could not even begin to comprehend. Pushing the subject matter aside, the lion got up and retreated into the jungle; he needed sleep.
