Lefika honestly couldn't be more proud of her new litter. They were all so beautiful and independant, each one unique. She worried sometimes about her firstborn twins... one of them seemed... dissatisfied with their pride's way of life. However, Lefika remained faithful that his muse would come to him and help him see the light.
Speaking of...
She couldn't help but wonder upon the spiritual development of all her little ones. They spent so much of their time exploring on the own--making it very clear they were her children--that she didn't often get a chance to speak with them. Were they tuning in to the voices yet? Were they finding themselves? She grew concerned sometimes and didn't even know if she should. Turning her eyes skyward, she said, "O, muse... give me a sign."
A cloud shifted briefly over the sun.
Lefika wrinkled her nose. "Don't be smart with me."

Akili was indeed doing some exploring today, happily oblivious to her mother's concern for her spiritual wellbeing. She was much more focused on now, and now was a particularly interesting and jumpy grasshopper. The girl-cub stalked after the hapless insect, but not with the intention of eating it - she just wanted to see where it was going!
Of course, she was actually the one making it go somewhere, but that had yet to occur to her. She thought she was being awesomely sneaky!
