Is that why I'm pathetic?

But seriously, after next Wednesday, I'll probably only be online a few days a week. And the reason? I usually only get online at my college, so since the quarter will be over, I won't be able to get on their computers. =<

I get online anywhere I want to. Laptops ftw.
Could use more ram, though... 512 MB is nowhere near enough nowadays.

That's probably a hard drive...
I don't think a PS3 would have more than 6 gigs, and that's still pushing it...

I need to upgrade my laptop to 2 gigs, though. Maybe my computer won't lag when I open 20 tabs in Firefox then...

Why would you even need 20 tabs up, ever?

(And yeah, it's a 60-gig hard drive, not ram.) ninja

Maybe the guild's been active, and I'm checking out 15 new threads and not opening a new window...

Still only 512MB, but that's dirt cheap for a decent computer. That computer compares to my laptop (my laptop's got a 1.4 GHz processor, but meh, it cost a lot more). Nice.

They forgot to mention the price of important software, like a web browser and a word processor, which comes to... $0 with a decent Internet connection. Free software ftw.

I've seen a website like this on how to hack a PS3 into an unholy good computer. Unfortunately, I'd need internet access, and with dial-up internet, that's impossible.

Hacking=good ftw?

I kind of like how spending the extra money for this Dell not only gave me a much better product, one that I couldn't make nearly as easily (a laptop), but also gives me a warranty that's actually been pretty great. I've gotten a free replacement screen, hardrive, and AC power adapter because they were all damaged in some way over time (computer parts tend to wear down over time).

Also I believe that doesn't include a monitor, which is often a good portion of the price if it's a decent one.
