Launch Item Normalization! Uh... Houston, we have a problem.

So Gaia admins finally launched the new item normalization. They even took the time to warn us that pending trades would be cancelled. There's only one slight problem... where did the items/gold go after said trades where cancelled? One things for sure, they didn't end up back in my inventory where they should have gone stressed

Anyone else have this problem or is it just me?

Why did Gaia have to screw with something that worked just fine and f*ck everything else up in the process? If it ain't broke, don't fix it. mad

The Item Normalization project is now released to the live site. Some features may continue to be disabled for a short time while we work out some kinks; we will be enabling most features today, but at this time, there are some known issues:

- Gifting is currently disabled. You will still see the gifts in your inventory but you will be unable to open it.
- We canceled all trades and marketplace listings, but the return of your items may be delayed for a few days
- Currently, you will need to re-equip all your items when you go to customize your avatar for the first time. Items that you previously had equipped will be grayed out for your convenience. If you are at an advanced state with your Faunzy Flute, please do not re-equip until we fix this issue.
- If your inventory is empty, try logging out and logging back in; that should clear up the problem

We plan to have all these issues fixed within the next couple of days.

If you think that you're having problems with the recent upgrades to the inventory system, please leave a message in this thread.

I believe the final announcement explained the trade problem. They said the items would be returned to your account in a few days.

They did say that all missing items and gold would be put back in accounts (a sort of rollback, perhaps?) so thats reassuring smile
I hope you do get it back. Was it a lot of gold/ expensive items?

What did this item normalization do?

The way i understand it, it's supposed to make viewing our inventory and equipping items easier, but I think the brilliant plan failed xp Things are more of a pain in the a** now and the inventory pages load slower.

Not to mention all the bugs that are still in the programming....

The end of mine is out of order too.
It's soo annoying 'cause I had in in order of color.
Messed up now.
Since I've starting organizing it, I hate having it out of order!

I think it's been more than a few days. I had two trades for pretty expensive art there, and I'd like my gold back.
