How games obsessed are you?

People of this guild obviously love games but how much?

I would say I'm moderately obsessed!

* I play games every week, but not everyday (wish I could).
* I seem to never play for longer than 3 hours at any given time, though given breaks in between, I could play all day on weekends.
* When I bought my Ps3, I also bought a brand new entertainment system, a router for online play and a headset... all just for my ps3!
* I read up heaps on games... can't afford gamer mags but read lots of stuff online. I know when something is coming out years in advance!
* I have never taken a day off school/work to play games, though I have thought about it. (I have taken days off to go to the cinema though)
* I have 6 memory cards
* I don't hang posters on my wall, but i have game themed desktop wallpaper
* My grades/work have never suffered as a result of playing games.
* I never rent games. I buy them outright and live with the consequences if I choose a sucky game (fortunately, this does not happen often)
* I join forums just to talk about games.
* If I ever have kids, I will fight to have them named after videogame characters. (My goldfish have game names)
* I have never done fan fiction/ fan art, even though I am a designer.

That is the level of my obsession. What is yours?

I JUST PLAYED AND FINISHED MASS EFFECT FOR LIKE 5 HOURS IN A ROW TODAY AFTER HAVING PLAYED WOW FOR ABOUT 5 HOURS IN A A ROW.

Well I actually ended up having literally nothing to do today, so I guess this is a little uncommon.

* I play games almost every day (or at the least waste time online in game related areas)
* I seem to not be able to stop when I play unless something interrupts me or I get really bored (doesn't happen if a game is fun)
* When I buy a PS3 it better be for free, or someone needs to knock some sense into me
* I read about upcoming games on occasion, but only look up strategies if I really, really am stuck. I also tend to try to not spoil games for myself if I'm actually interested in the story, otherwise I read away.
* I would take a day off of school to play a game if my mother didn't control my life. In approximately 13 months I'll be screwed unless my classes can get my attention.
* Memory cards are dumb (I have like 3 GCN one being an animal crossing, 1 PS2, and 1PS1 memory card)
* I rent games if I'm with friends sometimes.
* I run a forum just to talk about games
* If I ever have kids I will name them epic names. (not necessarily game names)
* I have never done fan fiction/fan art, even though I suck at art. (but pretty good at writing)

Memory cards are not dumb if you need them for older systems like ps1/2.

I never use walkthrough/cheats until I finish the game first. Seriously, cheats ruin a game.

I don't like memory cards since I'm prone to losing them. I like my data saved on an internal hard drive, or in the game cartridge itself.

Well I never bother with cheats, but I will resort to a walkthrough after around 30 minutes+ of aimlessly wandering around.

For a few months I was lacking in my gaming but for the whole of my life...:
-I have avidly played games since I was 2 years old
-I have never taken off school to play games but I did stay up all night and fall asleep in class from it.
-I excessively play until I beat a good game(FF7 in 4 days)
-The longest I have played in one sitting without break(and this was often)was 18 hours
-I have gone to the hospital from dehydration because I forgot to drink while playing
-I not only just buy games instead of rent,but I pre order most of them
-I have been getting a gaming mag every month for the past 5 years
-I have ten memory cards.2 GC,4 ps1,4 ps2.
There's probably alot more I forgot,but lately the only thing I have played was FFTA2.I would have considered myself hardest of the hardcore gamers but now I'm hardcore lite XD

Let us also not forget showing,but I shall not go there.Thankfully I've mellowed out since then.I also always have problems with remembering to eat and drink,been to the hospital a few times for it(not from games though)

Pretty obsessed Dark_Dragon_Bagera! I preorder cames too, (I am getting a gift certificate from my usual game shop because I have spent so much, ah, it pays to be loyal!)

I still have original cartridges from my old sega consoles, eventhough I have the equivalent games on ROM.

I get so mad when people leave my discs out of their covers! I am the only one in the family that hasn't had a disc destroyed.

Factoring in pc and all the consoles I have ever played, I think I am well over 1000 in different games played.

I been playing since I was 4.... I think.

I think I have spent more than $5000 on gaming!

But have any of you played a single game for upwards of 500 hours? That's how much time I wasted playing starcraft on the battle net...
