At the moment though, I'm flustered, I'm finally doing my summer homework that I was suppose to have been done.. 6 chapters.. Ugh, well, it's a subject that I like but dude, it's so dry.. I have nothing to go by.

25th for me! But... not really sure if I am going to have classes or not LOL!!! HAHA! I have my Thesis to write (or a 120 pg paper crying ) then I have Educational Psychology...

I've finally started classes again tonight. I'm going full time this semester, and I'm stoked. so much, in fact, that I actually used that god-awful word "stoked." rofl

but really. I'm so glad to be getting back.
and I'm even taking some online classes. should be interesting.

HAHA! I am working on my Master's in Secondary Education. So, it is a required course but it just deals with how they learn and not how they think... *shrugs* pointless class in my opinion...

right now, I'm trying to finish up my Associate Degrees in General Education and Early Childhood Development.. then it's off to CalState Fullerton for teaching credentials and a B.A. in English and/or Algebra (I can't decide).. from there.. teaching high school. ;D

I like algebra, although I do a lot better in English. High school, huh? Why high school?

I'm not sure if it's pointless but it's definitely just odd, being that I'm a student, just odd from this perspective.

It has to.. Educational reform is the only reason why we elect who we elect for our representatives.

I want to teach high school because those kids are so unmotivated these days. they get barely passing grades so they can just get out of high school. I want them to learn, to be excited to learn. by high school, you've been burnt out on people telling you what to do, blahblahblah. what I've learned in my child development classes, if anything at all (lol), is that if you present choices, kids tend to make better decisions. I want to open options that other, more traditional teachers never present. I want them to choose their own learning so that they're interested in the subject. I want to instruct one-on-one with each student or a small group of students at a time daily so that they are more comfortable with asking for help from me and others.
I guess you can say that my overall goal is to get them motivated not only for school, but for learning and living. *enter sappy music here*

aha, Lion. the military life. :3 I'm a military wife, so I can somewhat relate.

it's good to see so many people my age on here. not that I don't mind talking to those younger than me.. it's just that I feel so left out of the loop. this guild has more people my age than I've seen on Gaia. lol.

Depends on what grade your really aiming for when it comes to respect, although even if you teach younger kids you'll get manners. But you gotta give it to return it, it's a given that you'll receive lip either way though.
But sorry, can't stalk you from that far away. >.<'

Death, it is awesome that you have that sort of drive, it seems when I hear about people and how much they want to or why the wanna get into it then I can't help but wonder if majority of teachers thought the same way. Also where their drive went after a few years, I know this one really great great teacher I had and will have again my senior year, he was told by another classmate that he should quit before he looses that ambition.

I finally feel like a youngin again. I'm so not used to having to hold conversations with people younger than me. I'm used to being like 6 and 7 years younger than the people I'm talking with, and I rather like that dynamic.

And uhh, Kittens, 120 pages is not a paper, it's a book.
