I'm just wondering
What would happen in you pulled the cocking handle on a fire arm of cocked the weapon when there is already a round in the chamber.
I'm trying to learn MOAR about fire arms.

The round in the chamber will eject, and a new round will be chambered. The firearm will still be cocked.

Unless the extractor fails to catch the casing it'll remove the round.

adding: If the exctractor fails, the round will most likely stay in the chamber, and the bolt will try to feed another round and the end result will be a jam. Remove the magazine, pull the bolt back, and clear the jam.
