My new favorite knitting book is Knitting Rules! It is a really hillarious book. It talks about how to spot other knitters, what types of TV shows are best for TV- knitting, how to knit at the movies, what non-knitters think of yarn stashes, etc. Has anyone read it?

Hmmmm... I'll look this book up. I really like to read Stephanie pearl-McPhee, and she makes fun of such things a lot.

Careful! Stephanie can't tell the difference between crochet and knitting and needs random strangers to correct her. rofl rofl rofl

My copy goes virtually everywhere with me.

The tips/tricks for mocking up patterns and the lovely Harlot humor are a must-have in my book!

I've used the sock "cheat sheet" more than a few times too. biggrin

I've just finished reading her book, and her others as well. I found them to be hilarious, but it was a humor that none of my non-knitting friends understood.

I like that, though. I enjoy reading something only other knitters would understand. Makes me feel like I'm in a special club.

I like Yarn Harlot. I'm going to see if I can get my hands on this book.

I've added the book to my Amazon wish list.

I think it's cute. I enjoyed reading my copy and her basic techniques are good ones.

I'm not a diehard fan of the Harlot; but it's one of my fav's that she has put out.

I'm rather fond of my copy. It's funny, and more importantly, it has (clear) directions on how to do several different sorts of things (hats, and socks, for example), along with tons of helpful little tidbits.
