Uhai yawned as she uncurled from the large root she'd been napping on, feeling quite peaceful in the swamps. She had gone back to her reclusive nature, not really speaking to the other members. She had not even seen her sister, she did not even know about any of her nieces and nephews. It was a sad way to live, but now she was not so bitter from it. Every day she took her trip to the swamp boarders, with a fluttering hope that perhaps her friend would visit her. Hakan... she missed her male friend, who'd helped her so much during her journey... if only... if only she'd told him she wanted him to stay. Would he of, though? It was too painful to let her heart debate the answer, so instead she just focused on if he showed up...
It was a wonder she still was checking, it had been so many moons since she last saw the dark, handsome male... she sighed as she pulled herself from the tree and slipped her paws into some of the shallow, murky water. She was careful where she walked, she did not want to get her foot caught on a root and end up breaking something. Her tail flicked as she listened to the beautiful sounds around her, all seeming to be in-synch with each other.

Mordecai grumbled as he stared up at the big trees, the slightly marshy land at his paws. How the hell had he gotten here? He started to move back, slowly going around in a circle. This was how it always was... he always ended up where he didn't want to be! Swamps. yech... as if anyone wanted to end up in a swamp! Now, what had he done wrong? His ears twitched, straight up on his head, and he wrinkled his nose. The left past the mountains he saw? The three days next to that big sand pit... no, that might have been his last trip.
He sighed slightly and shifted, feeling nervous being out in the open like he was. Still, the only cover he saw in sight was in the swamp. He huffed as he scampered forward, avoiding the muck as best he could, to find himself a spot under some roots or in the shade, since he was dark enough in color. He certainly didn't want to be eaten by some gluttonous lion out on a morning walk... well.. actually, they were lazy bastards anyhow. Why should they be walking?
He froze though because just ahead he'd spotted the very thing he did not want to see. His heart beat rapidly against his chest, his eyes wide and his body upright on his hindlegs as panic slipped into his brain.
