History: The only son of the late lord Taka and the rogue lioness Madaha, Danzi was born a rogue at an oasis far from the Pridelands. As a cub, humans took his mother, leaving him and his two sisters to fend for themselves. When they took refuge in a jungle, ill fate came upon his sisters. One was eaten by crocodiles, while the other swept away by the river and presumed dead. It was then that Danzi left, still a cub, to find a better place.
It was then that he found the Pridelands, and was adopted by a young lioness and her mate. When they had small cubs of their own, he found the courage to go to the heart of the lands and ask to be allowed in. He gave the queen a good fright, looking so much like the father he didn't know, but he was given the okay and became a hunter for the pride.
He thought the rest of his days would be spent here, but his blood still enjoyed wandering. He sired, without knowing it, a litter by a lioness he'd only known when they were juveniles. He didn't meet his daughter until she was an adult, and then met his son, Jasiri'ka, sired when he was wandering again.
In his later years, after he'd met his adult daughter and met many other lions, he found himself intrigued by the desert. In an excursion into it, he met the lioness, Ripuka, and told her he was the wandering Firekin Makaa'kali. From then, he started to become affected by his assumed name, a change he didn't notice in himself, but his adopted sister Mut did.
When he took the lioness, Kimiko, to the Firekin and handed her off as a new slave to them, Mut made him realize the change in himself, and he left the Pridelands not long after. Since then, he's made trips into the western desert, having become wrapped up in Ripuka and their children, as well as the going-ons of the Firekin.
Personality: A lion shaped by the life he's lived, Danzi is usually a sweet and caring lion. He has moments, though, where his father seems to show through. He wouldn't hurt the ones he cares about, and protects them however he can. Sometimes, though, this can go wrong. |

Meaning: Something strange

History: Hailing from a pride far away that seemed to favor monochromatic colors, Ishara helped found a pride in the Elephant Graveyard. Animosity reigned supreme between the fledgeling pride and the hyenas, though, and it ultimately led to a fight between the stand-in queen and one of the hyenas. Ashamed and led to believe that the others looked down on her, she left behind the bones and her first litter of children.
Injured and now lame, she had a tryst with a young male, having three more children before she found the Kusini'mwezi lands. She stayed a time there, later having three daughters. A few nights after they were born, though, she wandered off, having gained an infection from a poor encounter with her oldest son, Toshiro. She wasn't seen for quite some time.
By the time she returned, she held the mark and scent of humans, and her mind had been all but completely shattered. Still very much lame, she had headed for the Kusini lands once again, believing her second litter to still be cubs. So gone her mind was, she mistook a hare for a lion cub, following it back to the Pridelands.
She met the Firekin Bodaway in the Pridelands, as well as found tendrils of her large family. She learned from him that her children she remembered to be cubs had long ago grown, though she had forgotten her third litter in her befuddled mind. Grievous of her lack of children, she requested from him a new litter, which he gave, and which enraged Toshiro when he found out. Since Bodaway chased him off, she hasn't seen her oldest son, and is now under the protective watch of the lioness Mioyo, her daughters Kabichi and Kohpi, as well as her own grandson, Shin, and two of her great-grandsons, Melhor Pax and Taichi.
Personality: A mentally shattered lion, Ishara's mind is unable to hold on to most information. Her thoughts are scattered at best, and she's in constant need of supervision. She's been known to babble about complete nonsense things, though she makes perfect sense when talking about her children. In her befuddled world, they're her only constant, Mioyo and her own children aside. Once, though, she was a kind, caring lioness that was sharp of mind and wouldn't lift a paw or her tail to a fly, as well as a bit of a flirt. Offspring: Sekizen, Shin, Radi, Nariku, Mvua, Kibela
History: Born in the Elephant Graveyard, as a prince of the Maziko, Toshiro was the runt of the litter, yet the oldest offspring. For this, he tended to resent his brother, Runai, and later developed something of a mother-complex. While he was happy as a cub, he started to grow bitter, an effect of the animosity between lion and hyena. When his mother left, he saw it as abandonment.
He met the lion, Nyekundu, at the watering hole and pledged his alegiance to the lion, following him back to the oasis kingdom he'd formed. Once there, he met who he percieves to be Nyek's oldest daughter(As he's never met Nyunya), and saw her as the heiress apparent, due to the lack of sons. For this reason, he pledged to follow her to the ends of the earth as her servant, having seen some err he won't speak of in Nyekundu's thought process.
When the oasis pride disbanded, he set to wandering. It was in this time that he found out about his three half-sibblings, and lashed out at Ishara, only to be counter-attacked and dwarved by his half-brother, Sairin. After a sound beating, he ran off to sulk.
When Sairin found out that Toshiro had been mal-treating his son, Shin, the scrawnier brother found himself once again at the recieving end of his brother's anger. He then took his own anger and frustration out on Kimiko, one of Nyek's many daughters, before setting to fully wandering.
Some time later, he found his mother wandering and, in some attempt to make ammends in for his actions, began to take care of her. His grandson, Tai, found her, though, and soon had his mother and father allerted, before Toshiro moved Ishara. It was at some point in this time that she concieved and bore another litter, which further enraged him. Before he could lay a life-threatening blow, though, Bodaway gave Toshiro a sound beating and chased him off once again.
While wandering, he happened upon, during a moonlit night, a jungle inhabited by seemingly undead lions that drank the blood of others. And their queen was someone he knew quite well - The very oasis princess he'd pledged his loyalty to. In an ultimate show of it, he gave up his life in the light to join her in the dark, sealing his fate to forever reside in the dark as a vampire.
Personality: A bitter and angry lion, Toshiro can lash out at the slightest provocation. He's had mother issues for some time, becoming very easily jealous of any cubs that may have his mother's attention. For this reason, he holds little affection for cubs, seeing them as a nuisance. |

History: Born to two rogue lions, Zimwi's early cubhood was spent happily playing with his brothers and sisters, under the ever-watchful gaze of his parents. Back in those days, he had another name, but he has long since forgotten it. He met another cub, a golden-brown color marked with white, whome he struck up a friendship with. But her pride was a pride filled with prejudice, finding any white to be a mark of spirits. When they found the family of 'spirit' lions, after following the 'spirit-marked' cub, they attacked.
Zimwi managed to escape without a scratch, hiding amid the bushes and grasses. When the dust finally settled, he found himself very alone. Afraid, and having the image of angry dirt- and mud-colored lions attacking his family forever burned into his brain, he ran away.
It was in this time that he found the Umande'mfuni lands. Lush and peaceful, if a bit dry, they felt safe to him. There were few lions, which he didn't mind. But he very quickly got into the mindset of making sure others ate. Surely them allowing a spirit lion into their midst was a blessing, and he should pay propper respect. As a result of this, he grew up to be quite small.
While in what he came to call the dying jungle, he met a fellow cub, Safura'miezi, whom he struck up a friendship. As they grew older, the friendship grew into a relationship until they became mates. But when adulthood came, so too did an exodus. Zimwi had to leave the lands he'd seen for so long as safe.
On his journey to find a new home, Zimwi met the then-wandering Firekin, Bodaway. Despite the size difference between them, they struck up a friendship, adopting one another as brothers. When Zimwi found the Jini'msemi lands, he found in him a new confidence, slowly beginning to shed his fears he'd held onto for so long. He's finally shed his fears of brown lions, finding a friend in one of the queen's sons.
Personality: Sweet and shy, Zimwi will do anything he can to make others smile. He's got a deep and passionate love of swimming, often jumping off random logs or branches into the waters of the swamp. From this love of swimming came another of his tendencies - Popping out of the water to give a good-natured scare to an unsuspecting lion. |

History: The oldest son of Cushti Bok, Veshengo was born in the now-disbanded Mpinzani packlands. He was the youngest of his generation, and thus grew up shy and soft-spoken. When he was an adolescent, he left on a journey of self-discovery at his mother's urgings. He's never looked back, and still wanders now.
Personality: A sweet dog, he's loyal to those close to him. He's willing to do anything to save others from danger, even face a pack of hyenas. |

Mother: Long forgotten
Father: Long forgotten

Offspring: Kasida, Ticdat, Kutu, Kirefu'Ruka; ???, Zungu, Lala, Saran
History: Originating from a pack unknown, Raka suffered from, for a time, severe amnesia. All he knew was his name and the basics of life, as well as what the albino hare, Jareth, told him. Through Jareth he met Adia, his first mate. With her, he had two daughters and two sons, one of which was born blind. He then met the dog, Temari, finding himself remembering her. He'd found his sister again. But then tragedy stacked up, and he fuond himself mourning the death of his mate, his sons vanishing, and one of his daughters taken by hyenas. Slowly, he pulled himself back together, finding solace in Adia's cousin, Cushti Bok. Together, they themselves had two sons and two daughters, three with an interesting hint of pink.

History: Born in a cage to two captive hyenas, Schatz and her sister were shoved through the bars by their parents and told to find a real hyena pack. Still pups, they found the Mava'bunda lands, where they appealed to Mafa's good side and were made members. Remaining grateful to her alpha, Schatz went so far as to try and attack a lion cub, only to be blinded in the right eye. It made her angry and bitter, hating lions all the more.
It didn't take her long to meet Mafa's son, Mabozi. Or rather, one of his 'head buddies' as she calls them. The alternate personality of the male convinced her to spend some alone time together, only for her to come out pregnant. She bore a daughter and two sons, the former of which she's doted on and the youngest of which she tries her best to ignore. She's finding it hard to ignore Raziel running off to play with the lions, though...
Personality: Cruel and bitter, Schatz hates lions with a deep, festering passion. She believes whole-heartedly that the graveyard ALL belongs to the hyenas, and refuses the idea of sharing any of it. Wild dogs are seen by her to be nothing more than slaves to be toyed with, often bringing down a hard paw on the blind dog, Ticdat. Her only true loyalties are to her sister and her alpha. |

History: Born in a fledgeling pack of wilddogs, Ticdat was blinded at an early age when she unwisely stuck her nose in a badger's den. Her world was dark for the rest of her life, living only by sound, smell, and touch. Cared for by her family, she felt a burden. Then her mother vanished, her brothers... And she met Veshengo, who told her he was her second cousin. They found a friendship she'd never really known, but it was ripped apart by the hyena, Schatz, taking her away to be a slave. Since then she's stayed hidden away in an elephant skull, never leaving it for fear of being beaten or falling in an unseen rift in the ground.

History: One of the last daughters from the last litter of Bakhti and Mahiri, Mut's managed to keep herself distant from her brothers and sisters. It's not because she wanted to, but she could never find the time to talk with them, all of them doing this or that. As a result of this, she found herself spending more time with Danzi, their adopted brother, than any of her actual relatives.
When she met Ushukuru, things seemed to turn upside down. She found herself alone, with two cubs, after having stopped associating with Danzi. With help from her adopted sister, Kabichi, she raised her sons alone. When they were adolescents, she struck out away from the Pridelands to find a less crowded place, where nobody would know her.
Personality: Kind and motherly, Mut places a lot of faith in others, more than may be healthy. Even when someone has wronged her, she finds it in herself to forgive them. |

History: Not much is known of the history of Jareth. What is known is that he grew up under the watchful eye of his older brother, Asikiri, as well as Darshana and her own brother, Brahma. Some time after his younger brother, Max, was born, he left the warren.
Out in the open world, he met a wild dog named Raka, suffering from amnesia. Seemingly frustrated, he called the dog 'rock,' though he didn't seem to mean it. He began to guide the dog as a spirit guide, helping him to remember and find his way. When Raka had seemed to find his place, they parted ways.
Running into Darshana again, some many years after he'd left home, Jareth found her to be permanentally attached to a lioness. He soon found himself on a very short metaphorical leash, as a cold night spent together turned into four little white and green balls of fur.
He now fears the day his daughters catch the eye of a boy.
Personality: Enigmatic to all but a few, Jareth is the sort to lead. Which is why he worships Primitus - He and his brothers, as well as Darshana and her brother, lead as spirit guides. A loyal hare, though, he sticks to his family and friends. He has a penchant for vanishing on large predators after confusing them, managing to not leave a trace and giving them the belief that he IS a spirit. He rather likes to encourage that idea. |

History: Born back in the days of Makadari's reign, Bodaway was but a cub when the mysterious lioness Kinja showed up. When Dama and Kitwana ran off, Bodaway left to find new slaves in some hope of impressing the king. He would not see the desert for many years, escaping by dumb luck the plague that would kill his parents and much of the pride.
For many years, he wandered, having become lost. It wasn't wise to leave as a juvenile, when you didn't know your way around anywhere. As a young adult, he met the lioness, Mioyo, and fell in love. He'd nearly forgotten his Firekin roots, ignoring her brown pelt for what was inside. Their love blossomed into two cubs, Shupavu and Minoru, whom he adored.
When rogues attacked, though, he was seperated from his family. By the time he returned to their former den, Mioyo was long gone from the area, the rogues had taken Shupavu, and Mioyo's father, Uchusichusi, had taken Minoru. Believing his family dead, Bodaway left, remembering again his bloodlines.
Now growing older, he found himself at the sea-side, amid the Bahari'mtoto lions. There he met the former Firekin lioness, Khepri, who showed him the way home. Along the way, he met a blind cub, Paki, and adopted him as a son. They'd nearly reached the Pridelands when he met the tiny rogue lion, Zimwi, and found himself adopting the lion and being adopted in return as a brother. It seemed, even with his family he'd had appearing dead, he'd made himself a new one, and others only got added on.
When he found out the lioness Kabichi was the daughter of Mioyo, he adopted her, too. By the time he fully reached the deserts, he'd built up a family of adopted children, which he hid from the rest of the pride.
Home again, he met the princess Kiunguza, blessed by Finar-si with seer-powers. She was soon blessed with cubs, too - Bodaway's cubs. Five daughters, two were blessed with seer-powers. The rest were largely ignored by Kiunguza for lacking them, though Bodaway showered them with endless affection and love.
When war broke out, he took hold of his changed beliefs - That a pride needed new blood to survive, lest they all become inbred fools - and sided with Kidondo. He found on the other side one of his daughters, Umlilo, cast away from the side of tradition for her pelt being s odark a red it looked brown. Brown or red, though, he saw his daughter as just that - His daughter. He now lives permanentally on the side of rebellion, trying to let go of the long-ingrained belief in Finar-si.
Personality: Patient and playful, Bodaway tries not to be too seriouse. He likes cubs, finding them rather cute to watch. With a big heart, he's more likely to adopt a lion than harm them... If they're in the rogue lands, or the other lion's home pride. Cross into the land of his pride, and he'll attack. After all, he's still loyal to his regent. |
