Ok Ok...heres what happened.

I go to a university....and instead of lectures in a small room....we have like an auditorium full of(100 or so) people listening to just one person...so our teacher was late....everyone, and i mean everyone pulled out a twilight book.

I was like WTH.

everywhere you look it was like the only colors you see was red, black, and white (the covers have the same color scheme)

I guess what im trying to say is....i liked it when 1/3 of the world was reading twilight, but now the entire world is reading it......

ahhhhh TWILIGHT DOMINATION

I never felt this happen when harry potter was out

I know, it's really starting to bug me.
And don't get me wrong,
I want the best for Stephenie and her books,
But I feel like people reading it now are just reading it 'cause it's popular.
Like this girl I know,
She trashes the books and then says "They're really badly written, but I just can't stop reading them."
It makes me angry to no extent when she says s**t like that.
And I also don't want people going to see the movie and claiming their a "true" fan.

wtf? she said that? punch her for me. (if she isnt your friend, that is...)

anyways... i dont have any adversion to people
read Twilight because 'its popular'. no matter
what the reason is for reading it, people will fall
in love with it anyway.

i actually wasnt going to read it just because it
was popular. i sometimes like being different.
my best friend told me on the bus sometime in
february that i had to read it. and i was kinda wary.

then she told me it was about vampires.

my first reaction: 'gimmie, gimmie, gimmie!'
(ive always like vampires. long before Twilight.)

ok... summary to my ramblings: who cares why a
person picked up Twilight? if it was because it was
popular, or a friend made you, etc., it dosnt matter.

as long as you love it in the end.

*end ramblings and summary* biggrin

People reading Twilight doesn't really bother me.
But if i start hearing people trash the book (without a legitimate reason) or Stephenie (people can say what they want about the books, but if they freaking start being a F^&* to Steph...) well my first idea of vengeance is keying their car.

I want the best for Stephenie, so i'm happy that a lot of people are interested in her books.

I'm trying to get more ppl to read it...
I don't know if you would call me a "true" fan. I don't like it because its popular and didnt start reading it cos its "popular". I didnt even hear about it. Its just that my friend FORCED me to read it, then she had all these inside Twilight jokes with my other friend like "I AM SWITZERLAND!!!" and "i like the bed" and i just felt left out. So I started reading about July 17th i think of this summer i think. ... and got hooked.
hmm this would be a good topic
But i like lots of people reading the book

So many people are saying that now . . . "These books suck, but I have to know what happens next.". It is such a load of crap. Why would you read a whole series of books when you think they are stupid?
PostPosted: Wed Sep 10, 2008 2:12 pm
I think its cool that so many people love the Twilight series, however, I hate getting into something and then automatically becoming part of a new "trend"

For example: I LOVE The Nightmare Before Christmas. I've loved it since I was six years old. But now its become a fad for teenagers every where, and I'm guilty by association. This sort of thing drives me insane.

It's good for Stephenie.
And now Harry Potter can die a little. [I think those books are annoying.]

I was thinking about that today. It seems like when i started reading the books, only a few people was reading them. Now everywhere i go, I see people that don't even LIKE to read reading them. The other day, people i didn't even know read them was saying,
"OMG! I LOVE EDWARD CULLEN!"
It's kinda annoying at first. But afterwards, you kinda get over it razz

I know. Now it's all weird because once Eclipse came out and the movie was announced, it became super huge. However, I can't really talk cuz I started reading them like last October, but I was living overseas when all the books had come out and they didn't have it at my BX there(Military Brat), so I don't really count. But yeah. I don't really care anymore that all the people in my school are starting to read it. I remember when it used to just be about the 5 of us at the beginning of last year... Now it's arounf 30. Probably more, I haven't counted recently.
