He was a carpenter in Nazareth, he and his brothers probably. But you have to remember that his father Joseph died between his 12th and 30th years on Earth, so, as the eldest son, he was probably the head of his household, taking care of his mother and siblings. I very much doubt that he, as a child, would have traveled as far as China and... was buddah even alive at the same time as Jesus? I don't think so, but I'll double check... Jewish males were not considered men until they were 30 years old, so I doubt Jesus would have been considered to be "mature enough" or "old enough" to make such journies. And, with a family to take care of, he probably wouldn't leave them all alone for the year or so it would take to go exploring China. Nazareth is a nice place, I've been there. I wouldn't leave it to go see buddah! Come on! You've got the Sea of Galilee RIGHT THERE! wink
