New News!
Sunday the 22, ended the first "soak test", 6+ hours of scheduled testing with a bonus run time till midnight, their time.
Advisement column
#1- Do the town quests, all of them, first! (you get about 25 orbs just from the training and town "errands") #1b.- Hang out in groups! G hi abilities only develop when you are in groups of people.
#2- about starter rings: * the first thing you have to identify is! How do you like to fight? * Secondly, what do your comrades want to do? groups are only efficient if there is some diversity in your tactics
* A suggestion would be: (melee)Mantis - Meat (self targeting only) - Knife Sharpen (a tank build) (mid range)Hot Foot - Bandage - Imp. Sphere (a status and buff build) (long range)Solar Rays - Diagnosis - Rock Armor (ranged dmg + group heal) -kk... ---------------------------------------------------------- During my last bit of testing, I found that lag was a bit of an issue... to that end! if your computer is lagging, simply minimize the screen for a few seconds and bring it back up!, its a neat little trick that saved my rump a few times from a lag kill or two.
also! if you are experiencing lag, try to avoid using things that you cannot target with the " ` " key, like the hornet's nest, because it's just hard to do!
Also! thought i might tell you a little about the level of the fields!
the sewers: lvl 0-1 the Greens: lvl 1-4 the Ninja Gardens: 4-8 the Ranch: lvl 2-6 the Lake... Baskin: lvl 5-10, it is hard! (I only have charge level 3 rings, and have explored the ninja gardens.)
- more later!

it would be useful, though once you are out in the field, you gain the chance to either change or dual wield several combat styles...
a good combination so far is to use solar rays and mantis, solar rays to hit them and gain their agro, and mantis to kill them off.
other than that, having several rings that cover close ranged combat is also effective, mantis, hack, slash, dervish, and some ranged agro like bee hive along with a few heal and buff rings and you are practically the best meleer out there, or a bundle of ranged, like solar rays, hunter's bow, fire rain, shark attack, mix it in with quick sand or bump ring and you'd be set as well.
