Fresnel Man of the Demoneye Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks A manual on how to deal with a zombie outbreak. The book defines weapons and their uses, location/terrain, and historical records of zombie attacks. Unfortunately, it's all made for a very specific kind of zombie. Also, .30 carbine is NOT a wonderful round in case of zombies. It's too damn rare. I'd like to suggest The Worst-Case Scenario Survival Handbook series, by Josh Piven and David Borgenicht. The main one is a good informative read, the rest are hilarious. Yerah, there were a lot of holes in ZSG like how they don't have the coordination to climb a ladder but they can climb up an anchor line with no problem. Maybe .30-30 or .30-06 would have been beter though.

ArmasTermin .30-30 and .30-06 would both be way better than .30 carbine. I read some of World War Z while I was at Books A Million once. I only got to go through a chapter or two I think, but from what I read it was good. There was a guy with a DEagle, but he said he got it because it was big and flashy and showy for an intimidation factor, which it does have. That cannot be refuted. Thye book might have started to suck later on though, I can't say. Never read it myself, but I've been told that at one point some random, run-of-the-mill otaku gets his hands on a katana and goes all Kill Bill on the zombies, slaughtering them by the thousands with moves he learned from anime or someshit.
I'd also like to suggest any and all military survival guides you can get your hands on. This is my current collection:

FYI, "Secrets of the Ninja" has a bunch of really bullshit stuff about ninjitsu, but it's got a really deep and informative section on the how and why of camouflage. The 'nature cures' one is pretty bullshit too. It lists fasting and drinking lots of water as a cure for pretty much anything from a cold to the Clap. No s**t, you can cure the Clap through drinking a lot of water and not eating anything. rolleyes Native American Health Recipes is a cookbook of healthy, organic foods. If all I can eat is what I can shoot or dig up, I think I'm going to have a lot of organic foods on hand. The blue lines are blanked out manuals and publications (NOT PORN. Not in that folder. wink ) I'd rather not display publicly.
