Hello folks, I Kenichi am makeing my first post on the Anime Sub-form^^
so I know I am a bit new to the guild thing here and I was hopeing that that you guys wouldn't mind filling me in on good epic Anime or Mangas and or if your guys have any favorites to fill me in on your fave ok? I'll repliy in a bit ok?
i guess i should start, I hate to admit that i may have only read a small amount of epic stories from Anime or Manga, but 2 favorites of mine are .hack:// and Negima. also I like those who hunt Elves as well. although i wouldn't mind learning of other Epic Anime/Manga to start reading as well^^

I've read the three manga books of .hack://Legend of the Twilight, and have seen a bit of the anime .hack://SIGN. It's interesting...

Tsubasa Chronicals is epic. But the manga is better than the anime, but at the same time the anime tends to make things mroe intereesting, since it's colored and all that (tsubasa is one of those manga where it benefits well from being colored) Another epic anime was Magic knight Reyearth (now that brings back memories! It's a pretty old anime!)

.hack//SIGN and ROOTS are pretty good animes, though my favorites are going to be Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and Soul Eater. TTGL wins in epicness, as does its soundtrack.
As far as manga goes, MAR was interesting. Not quite 'epic', though.

Magic Knight Rayearth holds a special place in my heart because that's how my best friend from waaay back when got me into anime/manga. :3
But in seriousness the Epic Anime Drama award goes to the 2006 version of Kanon. Character chemistry was great, and the plot was always interesting.
Ghost in the Shell and Outlaw Star are also great epics...if for different reasons. biggrin

i dont know what you would consider epic but the manga i found pretty good was Eureka Seven.
Also 666 satan was really good, well i thought it was.

I agree with Otulissa. Death Note and Code Geass are so epic. Loveless is also pretty awesome, but only if u don't mind a little shounen-ai (Boy's love) I'm also a fan of Vampire Knight.

I like shounen-ai, but I wouldn't call Loveless "epic." The ending annoyed me. A lot.
xD;;
And also, I get annoyed with cheesy canon shippings/romance stories -- regardless if it's yaoi, yuri, or straight. sweatdrop I just like it better when there are no canon shippings because it makes me feel more free.

I haven't finished the manga for Loveless yet. The only canon pairing in Vampire Knight is Kaname and Yuuki.
I also like Gakuen Ouji. It isn't really epic, but it's great for a good laugh.
