"You are slow. " Mapatano commented, glancing back at the gray cub tailing him. He wasn't even sure why he sitll kept them around, actually. At some other time, he'd probably have just dumped them on someone, probably Fahari, who everyone knew just looved cubs. Still, here he was, walking around with that rogue-cub he'd found recently. Her brother.. well, he had no idea, but wasn't surprised he wasn't around. In a way, he was perhaps grateful for the distraction, he assumed.

"Can't you walk faster? " An ear folded back, vanishing in his dark mane. The reason for the walk? Well, actually, he was just walking around. Like he normally did when he wasn't doing anything. And Ethiopia here, apparently unable to locate her sibling, had been eager to tag along. Fortunately for Mapatano, she was shy and quiet.

"I'm little. " She said, frowning slightly, but letting it go quickly, instead picking up her pace to a small trot to catch up with Mapatano's hind legs. Sure, she was slow, but he certainly wasn't making walking with him any easy! Its not like she liked staring at his tail. ... he did have a very funny tail, though.

Ethiopia was, despite his moodyness, grateful for Mapatano. He'd found her and her brother, he'd fed them, he'd let them stay with him in his cave-- it was all in all, great of him! She found Mapatano really nice(though most pridemembers would be eager to disagree). She looked up, and smiled once locating the red kite flying overhead. Hisa was very nice too, and had quite successfully made her recover from her fear of the large birds around here. ... on most part.

times were still hardly good; Ethiopia wasn't completely coping with her parents deaths. But at least it was a -bit- better?

Amusingly enough, Fahari was in a brilliant mood that day! Not that anyone would have been able to tell the difference though, for her features were almost usually plastered into a scowl that made even the bravest of guards back a step or two away from her. After all, she couldn't let her guard down, even if she WAS having a good day; ever since she'd returned, Fahari had been keen on doubling her attention around the young ones, for the fact a cub had died in her absence... was still fresh in her mind.

All in all though, she'd had a brilliant night's rest, and had happily gorged herself on a recent kill. Thus, despite her scowl, the lines around her eyes and face were smooth, hinting at her real mood, as did the way she blinked and perked her ears when she saw Mapa in the near distance, "Mapa, give the gal a break, you idiot. I'd like to see you walk faster, if you were half your size!" there was no bite to the words though, like there usually would have been, as she drew nearer. Fahari was one of few that knew the large, black male was more bark than bite, and hid himself under a cover of... well, sharp jabs. But then again, it took one to know one, for Fahari herself was pretty much the same, unless she was around cubs. This did not mean that either lion was harmless; far from that. In fact, most pride members were damned sure it was a BAD idea for any rogue or threat to so much as glare a cub the wrong way within Fahari's's presence.

After a moment though, the lioness seemed to realise that this cub... was not one she'd ever seen before, "Wait a minute,d beside them, "Whose this?" turning to cub, she repeated her question, lowering her head to sniff lightly at her head, "Who're you?"

Mapatano halted at the sound of a voice, flicking his attention to Fahari then turning to face her. "She's still slow. " He complained, though it was a half-hearted. Oooh, it was Fahari, and he had a cub. He'd not thought much on introducing her to either of the two just yet, though, he supposed he should have; might just be something for her to hold against him.

"I found her and her brother half-starved near the borders. " Mapatano said at the question, though he figured he'd let Ethiopia introduce herself. .. only to look down and find the monochrome cub had taken to hiding behind his front paws. "Their parents died. " He added this more quietly; Ethiopia, out of the two, had seemed the most upst, especially when parents were brought up.

Wasn't her fault she was still jumpy with strangers! As soon as Mapatano had stopped moving, she'd been quick to take cover. When she leaned out of curiosity, she only discovered the lioness sniffing her, and recoiled slightly.

"Ethiopia.. " She said, then found the paw giving her cover lifted into the air. She'd go hide behind the other one, but soon Mapatano had stepped away a bit, and she was now facing Fahari without a Mapatano-shield.

"Hi. "
