Story

Rasetsu uses her special powers to banish evil spirits. But a powerful spirit has vowed to claim her on her 20th birthday, leaving a red flower mark on her chest to remind her of that impending day. That is, unless Rasetsu can find true love by then.

Creator

Chika Shiomi lives in the Aichi Prefecture of Japan. She debuted with the manga Todokeru Toki o Sugitemo (Even if the Time for Deliverance Passes), and her work is currently running in two magazines, Bessatsu Hana to Yume and Mystery Bonita. She loves reading manga, traveling, and listening to music by Aerosmith, Hyde, and Guns N Roses. Her favorite artists include Michelangelo, Hokusai, Bernini, and Gustav Klimt.

Volume 1
Yako Hoshino, a young man with spiritual powers of his own, comes to the agency seeking help with a possessed book. He's seen a lot of strange phenomena in his day, but the last thing he expects to see is Rasetsu bearing a striking resemblance to his old love Yurara!


Volume 2
Not knowing it's the solution to her curse, Yako thinks that Rasetsu's quest for a boyfriend seems frivolous. Nothing's trivial about Rasetsu's next exorcism, however, especially when she's suddenly overpowered by the emotions of the spirit!


Volume 3
Being haunted by spirits seems to run in the family--this time, it's Rasetsu's mother who needs help! Can Rasetsu dispel the spirit successfully with her own personal family issues weighing her down?


Volume 4
Kuryu starts to realize that Rasetsu may have feelings for Yako--and he doesn't like it one bit. When Yako falls ill, will Kuryu help him or take this opportunity to weaken his love rival?


Volume 5
Rasetsu is taken aback by Kuryu's kiss, especially because she likes Yako. But between Yako unable to let go of his old love Yurara and her own curse in the way, can Rasetsu even confess her true feelings?


Volume 6
The past comes knocking when Yako runs into his old rival Mei Tendo. And the trip down memory lane doesn't stop there--when Yako gets attacked by a horde of ancient ghosts, it seems that his old love Yurara is connected to the onslaught!


Volume 7
Yako comes to grips with his feelings for Rasetsu and gives her mixed signals. Meanwhile, Kuryu and Yako visit the site where their boss fought the evil spirit that will eventually claim Rasetsu… but Kuryu suddenly attacks Yako!


Volume 8
Rasetsu’s entire body becomes covered with rose marks as her curse overwhelms her! Can true love really save her, especially when Yako meets his old love face-to-face and Kuryu seems to be grappling with a dark secret?

When the evil spirit shows up on Rasetsu’s birthday as promised, Rasetsu and her friends engage in a final showdown against it. Will Rasetsu be able to defeat her demon and live? Or will this birthday be her last?

Apaprently this series is a pseudo-sequel to Yurara, which I think is kind of cool. Granted I never got very far in Yurara (read, not past the preview in SB) but I liked it and still plan on reading it, so it's nice to know there's a sequel. :]
