I really can't see how it works better than cosmo.
Anyone have any thoughts?

You don't have to clean the s**t off before you shoot it. My dad has some of those, they're just plastic bags with a special coating. Nothing gets on your gun, there's no gel to wipe off. You can take the gun right out of the bag and shoot it.

But it really works?

Ah excellent.
The long bags will just barely fit on the Mosin Nagant M91/30s.

Excellent... excellent.

Now to buy a bulk pack.

My dad used to keep his guns in them even in the safe, because in MA, there's so damn much humidity the dehumidifier couldn't suck it all out. Out here they all just sit in a box because there's so little humidity things don't rust.

That's so damn awesome.

Tale a woe, a bit.
I had left my rifles in the safe and took them out and rubbed them down with oil, nothing unusual.
Then earlier this week I went to shoulder my Yugo Mauser.
The butt plate was rusted badly.
Not all the way through but badly.

Rage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I'm thinking about coating that foam pad with grease.

You could do what I do... every time I buy something with silica gel dessicant packs in it (Leather goods, beef jerky, etc), I toss them on the floor of the safe (wet air is heavy air). If you set the buttplate on a few of those, I'd be willing to bet it'd stop the rust.
