How the character fits into the saga: She was once betrothed to Prince Vegeta during the initial onslaught of Frieza when Frieza was fearing a mere super saiyan. However, due to a chemical experiment, her form had been reduced to the size of a microbug (really tiny). She then had landed on Planet Hamster, which was one of the Intergalatic Planets, coincidentally neighboring Planet Namek. As she grew up again, she had found Vegeta on Earth when he was married to Bulma still. Bulma not really the loyal type had gone back to loving Yamcha on a day when she knew she didn't cook Prince Vegeta's dinner right and she knew he was going to be upset with her. As Vegeta hurled into the bucket provided by his bedside, empress dee made a rescue to the Prince of Saiyans, thus winning the stubborn Saiyan's heart. No one would help him willingly like that and without having to be asked. It was true that Bulma helped Vegeta once, but then it was nag, nag, nag to him. Vegeta could sense that empress was not like Bulma and so, the Prince and Empress escaped.
One day, a saiyan from Planet Hamster named Malachor had decided to create an uprising against Prince Vegeta and killed him. Dee had successfully defeated Malachor then and had banished him from her planet. Again, by mere coincidence, Malachor had landed on the old Planet Vegetasai that had reformed after Frieza destroyed it. Thus, this made Malachor the King of the Saiyans.
After a bit of her own training empress set out to set things right. She was going to create an uprising of her own and restore things to how they should be, but was it really for the better that she did what she did?
