ok i get my 360 with the over clocked fans and all the good stuff, and my friend gave me the wrong power cable can i just bust out the pin blocking it or no?

Mmm, yeah... I don't know about that.
Does the power cable that you have show any kind of numbers? About how many volts or watts it handles?
The pin is on what, the Xbox? If so if you do that I'm sure you will void the warranty and with the possible ring of death you don't want to do that.
So you have the power supply just not the cable?
Did you try looking for the correct cable from game shops?
From what I've heard if it's not a licensed Microsoft product and you plug it in, you'll void the warranty.

Actualy its resolved now, and no it would not have worked, the brick has a ton of anti-rrod thingies in ti and a incompatable 360 would just fry. But i went to his house and picked it up brb fable
