So I ran across this thing in the Sportsman's Guide earlier today...

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

It's a chamber adapter that allows you to fire .32ACP through .308, .30-06, or .303 rifles. I kind of want one for my Enfield... has anyone had any experience with one of these before?

I never even heard of those.

Is the .32 close enough in size to the .303 to not cause damage?

Kinda what I was wondering. Wiki says that .303 is 7.9mm, and .32 is 7.8mm. I guess it's better to be too small than too big...

I saw that too.

I think it'd be fine, The jacket might expand to fit the barrel, who knows/

Hold on, let me try sticking a .32 in the barrel of my Enfield.

Well, the diameter of the bullet kind of fits.
It's not like the brass is coming into contact with the barrel, the bullet gets stuck before that.

So maybe this s**t works.

I wonder if the .32 locks into the sleeve for it to be possible to get multiples and load a magazine.
Doubtful, they wouldn't have been that creative.

I wonder if they'll make different ones for 32 Long and 32 Magnums.

When I go to sportsmans on monday I might get one of these as well and try it out.
I have just the rifle.
That bubbad No4 Mk1 I got.

Sure as ******** am not going to try it on my good Enfield.

What are the odds of... epic failure and explosion?

I would guess that if they made it, they tested it extensively to prevent epic fail and explosion, but I've heard stupider.

Stupid is as stupid duhzzzzz.

Anyway, I'll see if I can get it on Monday.
If it does fail I'll have an extra magazine and a few extra parts for my other Enfield.
Or, perhaps for some lucky people on here.
wink

I just hope that there's no damage to yours truly. sweatdrop

I'll wear my flak vest and a helmet, perhaps a gasmask too for eye and light face protection.

.32 should have wayyy lower pressure than a .303, you might ******** up your bore i guess but your gun isn't going to explode.

So does my ... ungodly bubba'd Enfield.

If this thing fails it will be doing the world a favor.
Me too since I'll have some spare parts as long as it isn't catastrophic.

Wow, they must be related.

The Bubba'd rifle used to be blinged out.
It had a brass butt plate until I took it off and put it on my other Enfield.

Mine was just plain sporterized, matching serial numbers and all. I still can't believe he shaved off the grip nub.

Wish I had that fancy-pants rear aperture sight, though.

Anyway, it's difficult to use on the Enfield Cabine...
The front blade is really tall and it's hard to judge where it's shooting.
I might as well just part it out unless I get that .303 -> .32 thing.
Also, I ordered the magazines but we can't go to sportsmans until Saturday.
If they still have the magazine bundle available then, I might buy another.
Does ebay allow you to sell gun mags on there? wink
I'm thinking, two mags and a pouch for $40.
That'll cover the cost of the first, sell another, cost of second. 3nodding

I was looking for rear apertures for Enfields when I found this.

http://www.rifleman.org.uk/Enfield_Rifle_No.2_and_.22RF_Mk.III.html

...
I want the one on the top.
eek
No2. MKIV?
ENFIELD SHT .22 IV?

You can sell any firearm part on eBay that is NOT a part for a rifle classified as an assault weapon by the state of Kommiefornia.

So yeah, I've seen plenty of C&R gun parts sold on eBay, but my CHEEK RISER for an AR-15 is rejected for being an assault rifle part.

What about the mags? But the mags are ... stare ... high capacity, 20 rounds. Those are allowed on there?

Also, what I heard is that you couldn't sell stuff that would make a working gun, IE receiver or action.

I read on some of the parts auctions on ebay, dammit I couldn't find an example.
Tons of a ******** paintball gun parts and small parts for guns.
Anyway, I saw one where this guy had typed in red, well pretty much this;
"OMFG, Ebay you dumb cunts don't delete this auction! These parts don't include a receiver!" or some such s**t.
