I think a brown would be more suited to a Mauser.
Red should be left for the Mosins.

Maybe it's just one of those things you have to see in person, though.

It's not quite sporterising but it's close. And I just don't like it, nothing special about it.

Actually, i really like it. Not something id run around with and shoot all the time, but definitely something to show off on the mantle of a fireplace ^___^
