Domevlo walked slowly into the central part of the swampland territory. Golden eyes glaned around from beneath black bangs. He walked with his head low, trying to make his large stature seem smaller than it actually was. It felt odd, being the new guy, and not knowing anyone, and he was quickly learning that some things play out better in theory and mind than in actuallity.
When at first he had felt great joy and excitement, he now felt anxiety. He supposed, though, the best way to fix that would be to try his luck further. He knew he would make his most genuine efforts. What more could he do? Anxiety laced with anticipation, of he tried to think of just how he would introduce himself. He'd never before though of himself as shy, but he couldn't bring himself to, just yet, go up to a total stranger. This....required further thought.
But he didn't know that he, maybe, wasn't the only new face around here.

((Cert is outdated, name is changed, as is rank!))
It was still a bit surreal, the knowledge that she had a new name. It was natural and a part of their lives, but to be someone different than she was just days before. Not only that but to return just in time to deliver her first litter, to become a mother all in one month! She shifted where she laid out over a flat stretch of dry-ish land, watching the den where her cubs rested. The time had come and gone since their birth and introduction to the rest of the pride, there was so much of their father in them it was impossible not to see it. At the moment they were resting, but who knew if that would last? It was spotting Domevio roaming towards the center of the lands, a face she had only seen briefly before then. He seemed uneasy somehow, maybe she could help with that.
"Hello, you look a bit nervous. Is everything alright?"

At the sound of another's voice, Domevlo's ears perked, and he looked in the direction it had come from, to see the orange-eyed lioness.
"Beyond fine," he said, doing his best to give a friendly smile, though only one half of his face would respond to the pull of muscles it took to do so. "But I know none here but your queen. ..Ah, my name-" such as it was at the moment- "Is Domevlo." Along with the members of this pride, he had also much to learn about their customs, aswell.

"It's good to meet you, Domevlo, my name is Epesi'vipawa. You're new to the pride, right?" She smiled a bit, easy going despite the shifting of her paws as they folded over one another now.
((So short!))

He nodded. "I never expected to so easily stumble upon a place I might call home. I guess I gave too little credit to the character and kindndess of others."
But then again, what reason did he have to, before? He had become guarded, and pessimistic. Unused to the kindness that many would so happen to call 'common courtousy,' he would no doubt seem, at first, very emotional to the little things. Easily moved. Domevlo would make no effort to hide this, for just as he wished not to be judged for his scars, and past, he'd much rather be called a being of vast emotions. For on appearance alone, he was gruff, and ugly. His past, even more so.

Gao lifted his head yawning. He'd been asleep in the den with his sister and was currently still tangled among them. He yawned again blinking his eyes and looking around for his mother. He did not see her and hoped she hadnt wandered to far.
Gao wiggled his way free of his sisters, trying his best not to wake them and shook out his fur. She began to make his way out of the den, focused on walking, his legs still a bit shaky and uncoordinated. He made his way into the light, blinking slightly and looking for his mother. He spotted he quickly, and a male he did not know.
"Mama," he called, before stumbling over to her and tripping over his own feet upon reaching her. His legs under him, head on the ground and bottom in the air, he gave a goofy smile. "Hello."

Domevlo seemed not to know how to react to the little but. ..and that would have been the truth. He kind of tilted his head to the side, looking down at the little guy. "Are you...alright?"

(Her rank is just huntress, and she doesn't have her familiar anymore, fyi. XD *needs to update/fix*) Upon hearing a strange voice, Aushitia'moyo gingerly made her way to where her ears led her. While her life in the pride had been more than wonderful, she still grew nervous around strangers. Uselessly so, because no one would remember her for the before time, but th fears always clutched at her heart.
Ears pricked forward, the earth-toned lioness picked her way through the marsh points of the area, moss clinging to her limbs. Upon hearing the voice of a cub, she froze. Would she be intruding on something? Curiosity enveloping her, she continued closer, lowering her head in a polite bow.
"H-hello." It was a stranger, but not quite what she had expected. Her mind always painted strangers in a dark way, and it had inadvertainly left her mildly surprised, but in a pleseant way. Not too threatening...right?

Domevlo, who had been watching the cub with equally cub-ish curiosity, heard the nervouse greeting, and his ears perked, and he slowly turned to look towards another female who seemed just as nervouse as he was.
"Hello." He gave nod of greeting, somewhat glad that he was not the only one feeling so timid.

Aushitia swallowed her nerves, telling herself that she had to get over it at some point. What was all the worrying for? She had a family and a home here; even if her family was just one child that had returned so far.
"You're new here, aren't you?" she asked quietly, her ears perking forward. She dared to take one small step towards him before pausing. What a stupid question, huh? It was pretty obvious.
"My name's Aushitia'moyo," she said with a bob of her head, a shy smile growing on her face. "I'm sure you'll like it here, once you get used to the really swampy parts."

For a moment he thought maybe she was afraid of how he looked, and a passing moment of dispair ran through him, but the way she continued seemed to convince him otherwise. Maybe she was just naturally nervouse?
He nodded, "I am," He answered. "I'm Domevlo. It's nice yo meet you, Aushita'moyo-" He then looked back to the other lioness, and the young cub- "All of you. Thank you."
He again attempted a warm smile, which reached only his golden eyes, and half of his face.

Now what? Aushi wasn't one for being too social, and she was grasping at what to say. It would seem too rude to just announce herself and leave. Was there anything she could offer?
She finally noticed one of Asali's children had come to greet him. Had she interrupted something more official? Worry filled her heart as she fought against it.
"Aushi works fine if my name seems too long," she said as her smile shrank. Her midn was racing. "Have you been here long?" Hopefully she wasn't interrupting something, but she had faith that she'd be told if she was. She couldn't help but let her eyes wander around a bit, though, just in case.

"Not at all" he shook his head. "I was wondering, and stumbled upon the swamp just this morning" He hadn't a clue of Aushi's worries, but hopefully his words put at least some of them at rest. "I was looking to get to know the residence of this pride, aswell as the customs therein."
He knew that he'd surely like to stay, and learning the exact beliefs and customs would be a good thing to know, before he embarrased himself, or offended someone.

Aushitia's smile peeked back onto her face as she shifted her weight into a more comfortable position. "Well, I can certainly start your learning. I'm not a native, to be honest. I joined just as you are now." She nodded. She hadn't been quite this social so soon, though! She mentally tacked on a positive mark for him. At least he was taking steps she had been too afraid to do when she first arrived.
"Is there anything you're curious about at the moment?" She knew that she wouldn't be able to explain everything as fluidly as a native, but she would certainly offer her knowledge. Maybe it would help him feel more comfortable here, and in turn she would feel a little useful.

Part of Domevlo's eagerness to meet others was due to his lack of social interaction before now. There was a definate need amongst beings to be with their own kinda and be accepted. He was no exception.
"I was asked about my belief in spirits," He exlained, "I was wondering the over-all pride's view, for starters."
As much as he wanted to be among others, he also thirsted for knowledge. And he was a quick learner, that took everything to heart, like a child taking in the bed time stories thier mother tells them.
