Any Side-fed/Top-Fed rifles out there?

I know that the M96 can be fed from the top when set up in that position.
I'm also sure that someone's made a Bren semi-auto before.

Is/are there any others?

Historically, there were two bolt action military rifles that were side fed. The Krag-Jørgensen was designed in the late 1800s and survived into the early Second World War. A similar rifle, the name of which escapes me now, was produced between WW I and WW II.

And wasn't there a .22 LR gun that was fed from a flat drum magazine mounted on top of the carbine?

Sure. There's those.

To my understanding, though, the point of a side-fed or top-fed rifle is to allow the easier use of high-cap magazines when benching or in the prone position.

Some of the .50 cal AR-15 uppers can load through the side.

They've made an AR 15 upper, that accepts the p90 mags and ammo.

Oh yeah, the American 180.

Also, CoD has taught me that the Italians had a side-fed MG that was fed four 5-round clips at a time, the Breda 30. See? Games CAN teach you things!

On Gunbroker there was a 'rare' Springfield, I think 1903 or something, that had some large magazine up top with an adapter for .30, not 30-06.

Hmm, I can't find it on the listing anymore so maybe it sold?

The Pedersen device! That damn thing is probably rarer than hell and thousands of dollars to boot. It turns a bolt-action rifle into a full-auto SMG. Whoever thought that thing up was a goddamned wizard.

It was on auction on gunbroker I think. Probably was because I saw pictures, the other auctions make you log in.
Last I saw it it was at 6 figures.

Wasn't there some kind of Semi/Full-auto(I think it was just Semi not sure though) conversion for the Enfield as well?

Added a pistol grip that looked like s**t and essentially turned the rifle into a BREN.

That'd be a new one on me. The only period Enfield conversion I know of is the DeLisle Carbine, God of suppressed firearms. I've seen a few modern mods to change them to 7.62 NATO, 7.62x54r, and others, but I don't think I've ever seen a semi/auto mod.

I kind of want a new-manufacture DeLisle. It would be a s**t-ton of fun with one or two of those 1911 drum magazines.

The only 3 I could think of are the japanese T-99, the Bren, and I'm pretty sure the Sten was from the side as well.

I know I saw a carbine somewhere that had a magazine on the side, but I can't remember which one. I distinctly remember a wooden stock on it.
