is it worth it???? besides pc???

ok so my pc crashed and I can't play sims on my computer anymore. I don't want to buy the mac version because then I'd end up buying all of the games for mac before sims 3 comes out.

I have the wii, ps3 (which I think you can play ps2 games on) and the psp. I tried playing sims2 on psp but it was a story mode one and I didn't like it. I have castaway for wii, but its not the same as normal sims. What is the closest thing to the pc that I can buy for sims 2?? should I just wait for sims 3 to come out for mac? (I hope it'll eventually come out for mac) did anyone hear about sims 3 coming out for mac?

I also heard you can't have kids?! do any of the systems allow you to have kids? I'm going crazy without the sims right now!!!!!

Sims2 for Playstation will let you play StoryMode and also a FreePlay Mode.
Try that for a few weeks I guess, I personally found the story mode to be a nice sort of challenge/change for a little while. I should ThInK the Sims3 is coming for Mac, but don't know for sure. Try thesims3.ea.com ???
