Game Name: Manhunt 2

Platforms Available: PS2 , PSP , Wii

Platform Played On: PS2

Concept/Storyline: You are Danny Lamb you and another escaped prisoner from the local insane asylum named Leo Kasper have gotten out of the aforementioned Insane Asylum Named Dixmor Hospital for the Criminally Insane and now that you have your freedom you must fight to keep it all the while trying to figure out just exactly what happened to you that landed you in that hospital and who was responsible for everything that happened. if you can live long enough you might just find out whats going on and why.

Graphics: The graphics are a lot better than the original Manhunt that's for sure not to take anything away from the first game but wow the graphics in this game are very detailed with a whole bunch of different gangs to takes out if you thought the first game had damn good graphics than just take one look at this version and you will see why I say the graphics are so much better.

Sound: The sound in this game isn't bad either and it can even have some say in the gameplay area. If you want to know more on that than just read the gameplay section for more details it still has that creepy music that just gets you in the mood for horror at the main menu and it still has that quietness in the abandoned areas that gives you the sense of panic where you feel at any moment you could be caught if you make the wrong move. however sometimes it gets louder than usual but again see the gameplay section to see what I am saying about music sometimes playing a part to the gameplay and quietness not always being the case. but for the most part the sound is solid.

Control: The controls to the game can be a bit awkward at times often times it can feel like steering a tank to get danny in the right position at the right time for the action you want him to take. It isn't nearly as bad as some of the older Resident Evil Games that existed for the Playstation One but at times it can get irritating to die just because you ran in the wrong direction and got yourself cornered. But if you can look past that one minor issue than you should be good to play the game.

Gameplay: The Gameplay this time around has added a whole other level of fun to the equation with environmental kills, the addition of executions with firearms , A First Person Mode , and even throwing in being able to use the area you're in itself against the enemy. you can also destroy lights to create extra pockets of shadows to hide in this time. and speaking of shadows that's another nice feature of the game this time around if an enemy gets to close to you this time around you will have to pull off a set of button presses on screen to keep your heart rate normal so you don't go into a panic causing the enemy to find you. you also have to deal with the fact that Danny is a little out there so that means if you are in the middle of a level there will be times when you do something or see something that triggers Danny he will have a flashback of sorts right in front of your eyes and it will play out like a still shot from the past with Danny frozen up and unable to move until it is over. Among other cool features one more is the ability to use the surrounding area against the enemy like suppose you are in a bar (which you do end up in within the game) and they have Music blaring in the bar you can freely walk around and find some shadows because as long as the music is so loud they wont hear you allowing you to pick who you want to kill and when. you can also kill enemies with environmental kills like pushing an enemy into a toilet and semi- drowning him in it before smashing his face in with the lid of the toilet bowl. or setting a nearby gas pipe on fire with matches triggering an explosion to take out everybody in sight. there is also a jumping kill this time that lets you kill enemies by jumping down on them and killing them before they even know what hit them. one last time of execution is the gun execution where you use a firearm to blow your enemies brains all over the streets. you also have a first person mode so you can use it to point in any direction and then go back to third person to aim yourself in the right direction if you really don't feel like steering like a tank. and if you want you can go into first person with guns for better aim but going through just blasting everybody in those levels seems easier this time around. and you can actually fight this time if you find yourself in a situation where you can't do anything else. the gameplay is new and refreshing and it brings everything you loved from the first game and actually fixes a few of the problems along the way.

My Opinion: this is an excellent game and the only bad part is the controls could have been better. but other than that the game is fine.

Final Score: 9.5/10

Extra Notes: I got this game for Christmas with Guitar Hero 3 as A present from the dad and love it. if you can find it under 50 bucks in a store go pick it up and try it. you might you might like it after all.

Game: Racedriver: GRID

Platform: PS3, 360, and PC

Rating: E

Concept/Storyline: You first start out in a race to get your racing license. After you finish that race, you have to get $80,000 by doing Driver offers. Driver offers get you money, but doesn't increase your reputation. After you get $80,000 via Driver offers, you'll have to manage your own team. Later on you'll get a team mate that'll help.

Graphics: The graphics are breathtaking! The buildings are very detailed to the point where it looks real enough, the crowds movement are lifelike and have very smooth animiation. The cars are just crazy, outstanding, and massively detailed. Everything from the body kits to the vinyls. The reflection is like reflective, but not so reflective that's impossible to see the road.

Sound: The sounds isn't so bad. It's actually quite close to the actual engine sounds. But some do sound a bit off from the real thing. The muffler spitting out flames also sounds pretty realistic at that. The crowds react to everything, even when you crash. The crew chat does get pretty annoying and uses the same phase all over again. So the crew chat does get repetitive a lot. While racing there's no music, but after you're done. The replay will have a face beat orchestra techno type songs to show the intensity of the race.

Controls: Well this being on the PC version, the keyboard is not the ideal controller. I recommend getting a gamepad or the 360 PC controller. But the controls are quick and fluid. The physics take a lot of time to get use, believe me. I kept crashing into walls with the physics. But you can adjust the steering saturation, dead zone, and straightness(if you if have a hard time getting the car straight). The best car to get use the physics is the Chevy Lacttei.

Gameplay: The gameplay is straight forward. You have to get first in all the races to be ranked the best team and driver. The damage will and can damage not only the exterior but also the performance of your car. If you have a bad wheel, it'll keep turning that way, if the engine is getting damaged a lot it'll eventually lose power, and so on. Now if you did crash hard enough you'll be able to use the flashback feature. The flashback as it sounds...flashes back, so that you can come that corner differently or brake earlier. There are a limited amount of flashback, so use it wisely. The higher the diificulty, the less flashback you'll have. The AI is realistic. The AI are aware of what's going on the track. But they too can make mistakes from a simple braking misjudgement to a devasting crash.

My opinion: One of the best racing game ever! The graphics are as real as it can get. The cars are beautiful and close to the real life counterparts. Although the physics do take a lot of time to get use to. It's simply a well developed, well made, and somewhat innovative with it's flashback. Get this game if you're big on racing.

Game:Super Mario 64
Systems Available:Nintendo 64,Wii
System Played on:Wii

Concept/Story:The story starts off with a letter from Princess Peach inviting Mario over to her castle for some cake that she made for him,but soon Mario find out that Bowser has invaded the castle and captured Princess Peach. So,as usual,it's up to Mario to save Peach from the clutches of the evil Bowser, only this time,he has to collect Stars that power the castle(SPOILER:105 of 120,anyway)

Graphics:Well, they're great for a game that came out almost 12½ years ago.The environments in the game look great cool Mario, the Toads,Peach and Bowser look kinda funny, but I guess that and the environments is what gives the game its charm,y'know? It's what makes the game look kinda fun cool

Music/Sound:The sound and music,IMO,isn't so bad. It's another good thing about Super Mario 64.The music and sound make the levels kinda fun to play.

Gameplay:Well,it's not too difficult but it's also not too easy. It's that kind of game that puts up a good fight without making you feel cheap. The controls are ok.I tried the Classic Controller and the GameCube controller and out of both of them,I kinda find the Classic Controller easier to use,but hey-to each his own, right? The one thing that kinda sucks is the camera.Sometimes, you're gonna wanna get a better view of the stage you're playing but the camera just gets kinda fidgety that it won't let you. Then there's the Flight Cap.All I can say is that you'll have an easier time goin down than you will goin up.

Final opinion:Well, overall,Super Mario 64 is a really great game with great replay value. This game is just one of those game that withstood the test of time.If you like Mario, then this game is right up your alley.

Concept/Story:8.9
Graphics:9.2
Music/Sound:9.4
Gameplay:9.0
Final Score:9.5/10
