The almost-juve stopped at the border, taking a deep breath. Oh how Moricorm had missed this land. This dark land where she was born...where her demons stirred and whispered in the back of her mind. She looked to Ketu and smiled. "This is home. The borders of it, anways. We wait here, for one of the Guards." She didn't WANT to wait...but it was proper. She had been gone a couple of months, and she had a new demon with her.
Surely, someone would come soon, anyways. And it wasn't as if her coat wasn't obviously like Iar's. She couldn't be mistaken as anything other than one of his.

He stopped as Ri stopped and waited for her to sit before he himself sat beside her. A large youngster he towered beside Ri even as he sat his head held high and that flock of hair that would one day become a mane shaggy and pointed adding to the young ones stature all the more.
Bloody eyes searched the border without any emotion, this would be home but he would contain his excitement after all it wasn't becoming of him to show all his emotions. remaining stoic he looked down at Ri and swished his long tail. "Yes mistress." He whispers his gaze returning to it's vigil.

Indeed... it wasn't long before someone did show up, though it wasn't anyone as mundane as a mere border guard. No, indeed. For Iartuupe himself was currently making a little tour of the pride's borders.
Spotting the two smaller lions in the distance, Iar growled softly and started toward them. Who in the world would be calmly sitting on the borders of the pride like that!
But he found out soon enough... indeed recognizing his 'lost' daughter. Well well. Seemed she had come back. From where... and why ....he didn't know.

Ri could barely contain her glee at seeing someone...Not just ANY someone though! It was her father! Oh...things couldn't get more perfect, despite the circumstances for her return. She kept her regal bearing and bowed to her father.
"Aran'shale Iartuupe...Father...I have returned. A bit sooner than planned, but I bring with me another demon." She kept her serene, devious smile...oh how good it was to see her father again.

Ketu stood as the large demonic male approached them, lifting his young but bold head he let a small smirk slip over his maw. "Ketu my lord." he whispers bowing his head, turning his bloody eyes to the ground. Truly he was copying Ri's behaviour but it only seemed right to address the father of his mistress this way.

Iar just looked at the two for a few moments... considering this. Much as he rather disapproved of his daughter planning something like this - going off with the intention to come back and not telling anyone ... the pride did need new blood.
"Nice of you to share your plans with others, Moricorm," he rumbled, just a hint of warning in his tone - ignoring the other cub for the moment.

That caught Ri a little off-guard. She blinked a bit, then frowned. "I was informed you had been told." Ooooooh....when she found Nyota, she would find out WHY her father had not been informed. And then that bird. Yes...she'd find out if the bird was in on it too. But not do more than scar them. No...the pride was still too small to waste them.
"When I find my...informant, I can guarantee they'll have new scars for keeping such secrets." She snorted. "The only reason I did not tell you myself was the need to keep mother in the dark. She's more clever than she looks."

ketu sat slowly, clearly this bit of conversation did not involve him, he had no need to get involved in the politics of Ri and her father, it was not his place, he would wait his turn to be addressed.
He smiled at the thought of a traitor to Ri, oh who ever that was would be in more trouble than they thought, no one betrayed his mistress and walked away without them knowing he had been there. He would revel in the assault.

Iar seemed to be thinking about that for a moment or two, still frowning slightly. It made sense if Ri had wanted to keep her return a secret from her mother. But he too... wondered who was the one that was supposed to have told him.
Finally, he shook his mane a bit - dismissing that line of conversation - and turned his gaze on the other young lion. "And who is this..?"

The small demon gestured to Ketu, her mind changing subjects quickly. "This, Father, is Ketu. He has served me well, and seems to house a demon spirit." She smiled proudly.
"He is strong of body, quick of claw when it is needed, and tends to know when he is needed." It had made him the perfect bodyguard for Ri.

The young male bowed his head slightly, his deep blood red eyes looking up at the larger male with a fire flashing within them. "I am here to join your pride my lord and protect the lady Moricorm." He snapped off as easily as if it were traced upon his tongue ready to be said at any moment.

Iar eyed the young male for a moment or two and then glanced at Ri again. Nice to know that she was willing to sponsor him ... but she should let Ketu speak for himself in some things.
"What makes you think that you hold a demon within you ... Ketu?"

The smaller cub took a couple steps back, to allow her father to measure Ketu. Though it felt strange without him by her side, she knew Ketu would pass. He was a demon, she knew it....She could see it in his eyes and the way he held himself and the strength of his mind and body. Oh he might seem weak-minded in his devotion to her...but he was far from it.
