Hello, everyone.
I have read it that the five daily prayers are excused for the mentally ill.
But, I have never read exactly how it is decided who is excused...I am confused, because in your prophet's time, many of the words that we use now to talk about mental illness were not known by the people.
Is there a fatwa about this? Where can I learn more?

If You can't do it on the carpet, You can do it with your fingers 3nodding Some very relegious people, can do it when they are outside. Like on a road...(not in driving place, but in the litlle stop example) That happened I remmember 3nodding
And when You travel, only 1 is required. But 5 is better 3nodding
Some people also do it on places like trains and stuff...
Well...
I don't see being ill as a good excuse. Ofcurse if You are like dying, then it's ok I guess.
The muslims (some thousand years ago) acturally also did that in wars... But neways, the angels killed the enemies lol

@DS i guess he is talking about what you are asking i guess. i am mental illness doesn't have an alternative or something it directly means what you said so yes he is asking for that.
