Bio: Darrian, the only child of Arturus and Avaliah Skythe was orphaned shortly after being born--at least that's what it seemed. His parents faked their deaths after leaving him on the steps of a mason's (Vahldir Maelstorn) home. No one knew where Arturus and Avaliah had gone or why they vanished, for they left no note--not a trace was left of them.
At an early age, Darrian knew he was different, although he could never put it in words as to how or why he was different. Regardless of his goofy, humorous demeanor, Darrian kept to himself, for he preferred the company of animals and books. When he was a child, Darrian was often teased for being quick to smile and laugh. Darrian would always respond to their mockery with laughter, which only insinuated more ridicule. Moreover, little Darrian had few friends growing up, save for the animals he befriended.
When Darrian turned sixteen, he felt as though he really needed a change of scenery. He was always restless of nature, but he hadn't felt this restless in his whole life. After much contemplation, he consulted with Vahldir, his adopted father. They reached a mutual agreement that it was in Darrian's best interest to leave for awhile. So Darrian packed a few days (three) worth of clothing and food in a knapsack and left. He wandered around for three days on foot before reaching a neighboring town. There, he worked at the stables in exchange for food and shelter for a night. The next day he walked to an inn (Scarecrow Inn), there he washed dishes, cleaned tables/counters, and helped out in the kitchen in exchange for food and shelter. It was there, that his life would change drastically. Darrian's diligence and cheerful nature captured Maevelous Woodsworth's attention. Maevelous saw graceful elegance whenever Darrian moved so he called the boy over and offered to take him as a dancing apprentice. Darrian accepted and moved in with his new found teacher. It was under Maevelous' guidance that Darrian discovered his love for dancing.
