Anyone remember
Due South?
Basically, it's about a Royal Canadian Mounted Police officer in the Yukon named Constable Benton Frasier and his half-wolf, Diefenbaker. After receiving word that his father, also a mountie, was shot and the case had been turned over to the Chicago police, he makes his way there to find his father's killer, and realizes that there was a huge conspiracy in Canada leading to it. After turning in one of his own, he gets sent back to Chicago, and the series begins there.
Man, that was a great show. I really miss it. It was great.
In fact, I recently started downloading it to watch it again. I don't think I've had such a good laugh in a long time.
Something about overly stereotyped mounties make my day.
To his credit, though, Paul Gross makes a damn good mountie. And Diefenbaker was just too awesome.
But yeah, Con. Benton Frasier (Paul Gross) is a
SUPER MOUNTIE!! (Especially 6:24-9:49)
Except when everyone is muckin' around...
