Damn it. Mortals were a damn pain in the a**. Why was she spending so much time in the mortal realm lately? ...oh, yeah. That goddamn urge that would not release her until she fulfilled it. She wished that she was sterile at times; at least she could enjoy everything without the kids that came around. Honestly, she was surprised that not every damn mortal was related to her yet~!
Hmmm. Maybe if she could convince her body to only carry one child, she would be set.
Too bad that she didn't have that control over herself.
Seething, the goodess reclined in a flourishing patch of grass, awaiting someone to come by. She wouldn't know their future, but they didn't need to know that. She would make them think that they regretted the day that they came across her. As beautiful as she was, she was a b***h. And today was her day to shine.

A pity that it had to be Mwenzangu that went by. And not for him, either.
Humming to himself, the lion was quite proud of himself today. The previous night had gone over well, even if he had slept in longer than he wanted to. Sometimes that was just the way things went. At least it kept him happy enough to leave a skip in his step as he went out for a morning hunt. Even that went well. So there wasn't a single thing that could lower his mood.
Not even a furious goddess.
His ears perked as he heard the sounds of something. It didn't sound normal, but it didn't sound unnormal, either. Strange, what was it? As he paused to look around, his eyes caught sight of it. It? Her.
There was no mistaking what she was. Gulp. And she actually looked really, really pissed.

Tala hadn't seen him before he caught wind of her, but she certainly had a talent of knowing who was looking at her. Her head snapped around to see the red eyes looking into her golden ones. Her brows furrowed as she glared at him. Great. Who would have known that the fates decided to make this poor mortal a male to cross her path. Certainly the temptations of everything were beating against her walls of resistance.
"You," she said darkly, the tip of her tail lashing. "Come here." Hm hm hm, she was going to have too much fun with this poor soul. He looked deliciously happy, and she was going to ruin it. Now.
"Hurry up, I haven't all day," she lied. Time almost didn't move for her. She certainly had all day, but then the temptations would continue to hagger her down until she succumbed. Never.
She snorted, wondering what was taking him so long. Stupid brute. She knew she was beautiful, but there was no need to stare for that long. No one obviously taught him any manners.

Zangu could only stare in the beginning. Really! Everyone knew what gods were, but no one ever expected to see one. Especially one just...lying in the grass like it was nothing. It was incredible.
His ears finally began to work. "Oop!" He scurried over, trying to be careful about not getting too close. He looked over at her again, and then it hit him.
Flowers. There were flowers in that long mane of her's!
He really couldn't stop staring now. He had never seen flowers so bright. It was almost like they compelled him to touch....so much so that he caught himself leaning forward towards her. He could feel the anger coming off of him. An embarassed chuckle, he scurried back a couple paces.
"Is there a way I can help you?" he asked slowly, though there was still a bit of a spark in his voice. This was so exciting! To think, a goddess wanted to talk to him! And she obviously adored flowers just as much as he did, if she wore them in her hair like that. Zangu liked her already. Then again, there hadn't been anyone he had come across that he didn't like. That was just the way he was.

Tala grumbled. What the hell? Why was he still happy? She had managed to smack the smirk off of his face, but there was still hints of him being content all over. Hmph. Fine, then. She would take his challenge. She was certainly in the mood for it.
"I've been watching you," she said, a thick layer of sickly sweet tone all over her words. "And I have to say, there's things you do that I haven't seen anyone else do."
Hmhmhm, see what he says about that. There had to be some guilt in there somewhere, and once he thought that she knew it, he would be all over her to not say a word. She knew how mortals were. Especially males. Lecherous little bastards. She only pleasured the best of them, and she was damn proud of it too. If only they'd be the ones to have the kids, and not her. Lucky bastards.

He blinked. The spell was broken. What was she talking about? He hadn't done anything bad....hadn't he?
He lowered his head, thinking about what she had said. Hmmm...had he? There was Zuma...thinking about her made his cheeks flush. But there hadn't been anything wrong...he knew that. And though he felt like he should go see her, he knew that wasn't possible. He assumed that they both knew that. So how would that be wrong?
He shook his head. Nothing. "There's nothing, ma'am," he said politely, offering a nod. "I swear by it." He nodded again, looking expectantly at her. What was she trying to say? Maybe she would explain. It still didn't cross his mind that this was a DANGEROUS thing to do. DANGER. Angry goddess was not something to cross. Especially one that was fertility. Duh. Pity that he didn't know that yet.
He continued to think, though. Hopefully Zuma was fine. Probably. She seemed happy, so why should he think otherwise? It wasn't in his personality to. The goddess just tugged at the edges of his mind, making him doubt slightly on his true feelings. Everything was fine.

....what?
What male didn't have some slander in their life? This had to be a mistake! He had to be lying! She felt like she was loosing already, and she had barely begun! Tala stared at the stupid mortal, looking for any signs that he was lying. She could have screamed when she didn't see anything. There was nothing! No hints that he was lying, no where did it seem like there was something wrong.
There was no way that he was good enough to not have anything for her to work with!
Fuming yet again, her sweet tone droped to a growl. She glared at him before glancing away, frustrated. She'd never failed like this before. Usually it was the male. What was she supposed to do in a siuation like this?
She clawed at the ground as she tried to figure out what to do, ignoring the male. Maybe she should just kill him; her anger certainly warrented for it. But she never was one to kill others. It wasn't like he threatened her. She just felt...insulted. Well, that was close enough. But she didn't want to waste the energy. He was kind of big.
"Hmph. Maybe I was mistaken," she said rudely, looking down at her claws. Glorious, weren't they? "Of course, I'm hardly every wrong."

Zangu was quite surprised to be hearing this from her. What was she trying to say? He hadn't done anything wrong...and he knew it. He wasn't that smart, but he wasn't stupid enough to get himself into trouble. Or, well, big trouble like she was hinting at. He didn't understand it.
He lowered his head in respect, hoping that she would calm down a bit. While she didn't visibly look so angry, her voice told otherwise. He shook his head, his red eyes peeking up at her shyly between his black mane.
"I fear you are. I've lived quietly, quite ignored, so I'm not quite sure what you're getting at, m'lady."
He kept his head down, hoping that she would lift her anger and let him go back to what he was doing. Which wasn't much, but it was much less stressful than what he was dealing with right now.

Tala narrowed her eyes. So she had finally come across a male that had a completely clear conscience, and there was nothing that she could scoop out of him. It was odd. Obvious that he had seen many seasons, and yet she couldn't get a hint of any wrongness out of him. At all.
Very odd indeed. Her tail twitched as she felt her grasp of this slipping. It was growing boring now, and she didn't hang around much when she was bored.
"You emitted an odd aura," she lied. Her lies were always just as sweet as her words, though. "You seemed to be hiding something deep, but it seems I was heavily mistaken. You're an odd one, mortal, but I assume that I'm not the first or last to figure this out." More lies. He'd probably go back to being ignored for the rest of his life, too. Pity for him, but she didn't offer any of that pity. The more pathetic gods could offer that, hmph.
The more anger that flooded Tala's blood, the more childish she got. Spoiled, certainly. Also, she was quite...pent up with emotions. Did that stupid male actually...? AUGH. Like always. Really, she needed a better way to handle herself.
She closed her eyes, ignoring the male.

His ears popped up, a slight sound of surprise escaping his throat. What? What was it that she was talking about? He watched her obediently, but after some time it was obvious that she was done with him. His mind didn't understand how she could just stop breathing, moving, everything. Gods were frightening. Perhaps he should avoid one at all costs next time. They were something to awe, but obviously something that were mindblowing to a mortal like him.
He took a couple steps backwards, his eyes intently searching for any movement from her. When he was provided with nothing, his head sunk. No hints as to what she said. Should he believe her? She had spouted all those mean things at him, perhaps she was just trying to make him feel better. Perhaps there was something, but it wasn't his to know. Either way, he was greatful that he was still alive.
He turned back to return his way home, grunting a bit as he did so. Peeking over his shoulder proved nothing different, and he shook his head. He was in a foul mood now; something that rarely happened with the happy-go-lucky lion. The best way to fix that would be to find a bed of flowers and flop in it for a lovely nap. Flowers always fixed everything.
