This is a question to the general.

I went to a drag racing event at an old airport and tried out my car...
I have very little knowledge on drag racing, I thought it was just fun. After 3 runs here is my best one on the quarter mile.
11.972 @ 132 mph (whatever RT is, mine was 0.332)

My question to you (if you have the faintest idea of how drag racing works) is how did I do?

Mind you, my car is a Buick Grand National with somewhere inbetween 350-700 hp (never dynoed it, but it goes like hell) and weighs around 1200kg.
It is stripped out and set up for ROAD RACING (has an extremely stiff rear end, lots of camber and a mean toe angle, therefore spins the tires every time I go near the throttle) with semi slick sports tires (avon I think).

I just had this ridiculous mental picture of me trying to Drag race my nine year old forest green Toyota Corrolla... hahaha

I'd get to about 85mph and be like, "whooohooo! I'm Still Alive!" ...and then the back of the car would fall off.

well at least you wouldn't be like the chavs at the dragway racing neons with loud as hell exhausts and 10 subwoofers bragging on and on about how they got a low 15 second quarter mile XD.

Hahaha, can you imagine the looks on those people's faces if some chick did show up in an antiquated Corrolla. It'd be priceless.
I'd make my entrance blasting Enya on the tape player (the only tape I own and the car has no CD player) and flying my pirate window-flag. XD

You should try being in my friend's mustang, whenever he shifts, you about lose complete control. This is his daily driver too.

You need to dyno your car, that way you can get an idea as to how much horsepower you do have, if you need to tune anything differently, and how power changes between gears. Is your Buick a stick or automatic?

RT means reaction time to the green light on the tree. Was this run your last? That will show the difference in your cars performance after warming up for a while. Honestly, that's a pretty nice time, in my opinion. After this year, my Grand Wagoneer might give you a run for your money biggrin

I undoubtfully think your wagoneer could give me a run for my money... my car is set up for road racing... the rear suspention is so stiff the rear wheels only stop spinning in third gear even if it has a limited slip diff... But drag racing is not what the car was set up for... it was made with a super stiff chassis, low slung pin sharp suspention, plently of camber and a good weight distribution to monster the corners. On the track (the Kalebogue track... the only one i have ever been on) it eats stis, evos, m3s, m5s and elises. The car i have been the best matched to was a gallardo with an old man driving it. His car was way sharper around the corner than mine was but I got right up his a** on the straights... Never really overtaken him.
