I went to the gunshow and bought what the guy said was an m1 carbine sling.

Get it home, take it out, and guess what it doesn't have? The ******** button and hole that you clip together to hold the sling on.

Didn't even come with an oiler, came with a piece of wood to hold it in place.

Well... Technically he DID sell you an M1 carbine sling, just not everything that you need to go with it. Life's a b***h ain't it?

Well, the oiler plays a part in holding the sling on.

I think you gotta drop the oiler in the cut out on the stock, loop the sling around it and do some other s**t.
