Why on earth am I still awake...

Anyone else ever look at the clock and despair? It's 2:00 am here. I have yet to sleep. I have to be up in four hours for school. Yet every time I attempt to sleep I end up coughing up my lungs. Not literally obviously but it feels like it... I've gotten through far too many bottle of cough medicine in the last week or so
I have a drama exam on Friday I need sleep gonk

So any one else having trouble sleeping?

sorry, that was 6pm where I am. it's 8:30pm for me now. I've been really tired lately so sleep comes fast for me. too fast actually, I don't even have time to reflect on my day before I'm out sad

why don't you take some cough medicine that also makes you sleep? for the life of me I don't know the scientific term for that emo

Nyquil in the states. Canada sells cough medicine with codine in it over the counter.

None of the cough medicine really works, thats the main problem, so every time I lie down I have another ruddy coughing fit...

have you asked your doctor? I took these pills that reduced my cough and made me fall asleep faster...

ah, here we are, I have Benzonatate, which is a generic brand for Tessalon. they're pretty small, about the size of a bead :]

I always have problems sleeping, I usually cant go to bed until 12 or 1 and then I have to get up at 6. That is not enough for me, and I end up sleeping in the afternoon after I get back from school.

That's how I was in high school.
I'd stay up til 4 or 5 in the morning.
Wake up at 8. Barely make homeroom.
Come home, nap, and repeat.

Except for when it was soccer season.
I slept more regularly then.
