Thembekile, Bekile to her friends and family sighed softly as she laid her head on her outstretched front legs. So many things raced endlessly through her mind. Her new life here in the swamps, it was so odd to have left the wide open grass planes of her cub-hood to live in this swamp but where her brother led, she followed.

Thinking of her brother naturally led to thoughts of their mythical father. A father that the siblings had never heard of till their mother lay dying. Her violet eyes winced as she quickly turned away from those thoughts least they turn down a darker road.

Yawning again, she rolled over on her side basking in the sun. Bah, such bleary thoughts on such a bright day. Keeping her ears open, she closed her eyes to relax in the warm sunshine.
