Oh yeah I agree with DT. Personally no matter where I am i love stopping by chinese restaurants b/c they're usually good and fun to check out random ones when we go on road trips. ^_^ Each have different tastes. 3nodding If you're looking for something fancy maybe an "Olive Garden" would be nice? Or just the best looking restaurant you can check out. ^_^ It's usually best to shop around. 3nodding I say go for Chinese (if you like Chinese food)...OR! Spanish food tastes good too by the way! Or....even Jamacian Jerk Chicken and Rice!!! (<--now THAT is tasty!! Dad buys that on occasions when we wanna eat out from the City on his way back from work. hehe!)

Yeah, it depends on where you are. Even if you're in the States there's different restaurants for different areas. If you live in SouthernCalifornia you'd likely know Bob's Big Boy, but if you lived in Nevada all your life you may not.
One of my favorite restaurants is Islands. It's a California thing, atleast there were five that I can think of in LA where I used to live, and there's only one in the entire city where I live now. It's a burger joint with an island-y theme, thus the name. They have great burgers though, and you can order fries specifically crispy if you like crunchier fries.
Another favorite of mine is Makino. It's a sushi buffet that's pretty good for their sushi. Their cooked food and desserts can be a bit lacking sometimes but the sushi is pretty good. It's affordable too considering how much sushi can be sometimes.
