So, whenever I create a sim, I usually wait until I finish the sim before I name them, So then you can kinda see what they look like, and what name fits them.
Do you do this, or do you think of names for the Sim before you customize him/her?

If i want to create one from scratch, I just randomize until i get a good enough looking one. Then I pick a name depending on what they look like, other detail come later. So yea about the same way!

i do the name, then what they look like. all my sims look like the names i give them.

In most cases, I make my sims after characters from my writings /role plays and planning in my mind...and sims based after NPCs or characters that could 'possibly' exist with 'possible' relationships to the other characters...and sometimes I plan and make up new characters based after Sims too...so normally I have names AND appearances in mind before I even bother making a Sim, and I name the sims after my characters and try to get them to look as much like my characters as possible.

Most of my Sims are based on existing character, or ones I already made up so I have their name and look I want to archive as soon as I start.

I make characters from the books I'm reading at that moment. XD

I name mine and then make the Sim look they way I think someone with that name looks.

Depends on how long I spend developing them as a character, sometime I'll spend a week planning out one Sim and have the name all set before I even start making them in bodyshop, other times I'll name them on the spot, often from looking around the room I'm in and naming them after an inanimate object or a random letter in the alphabet. That's how I ended up with the names Postal, S, W, and Phthalo.

There all based on characters.....that i make up right before i make sims.

And i usually just name them and then customize them.

I usually name them first, but I never thought of naming them after. I'll try that. smile
