We are officially in the off season.
So now what?
You can continue to post here in the guild, especially in the Memorials section! Remember that this section is always open and will never be deleted. If you know anyone that may need a little venting and comfort in the off season, please direct them here. Hell, direct them to me! TDM is more than just an event, it's a network; a group of people that know what it's like to have our lives affected by cancer.
I definitely want to participate again next year! What do we have to do to be a part of that?
This guild will be re-used year to year even as the main thread changes. As long as you're a member, you'll be able to find us again. Just remember that the month of April is when the Movement happens!
Also, post here to request being added to the mailing list. After I send out the farewell PM to everyone from the Movement, I will not contact anyone regarding plans for next year unless their name is on the list. Don't want to be a spammer^^;
When I message everyone on the list about plans for next year, I will detail to you ways you can help spread the word along with whatever new plans I have cooked up by then. Stay sharp; this probably won't happen until late March 2010.
We are definitely going to try to get Community Spotlight again or whatever the equivalent is next year if the Spotlight exists! But we're going to try it later on next time since so many people thought for some reason that the event ended at the end of March and so left us with very few participants. sweatdrop
I will miss all of you so much! Thanks everyone for your heartfelt enthusiasm and loyalty! You've shown the Gaia community that we know how to get involved in something real. Don't be strangers, stop by here often! That way little 'ol me won't get lonely here.
ATTENTION! (Update June 28, 2009)
Another user advised me on how to keep better track of people when faced with things such as name changes- he said we could keep track of user numbers instead. However, this spurred me into thinking of an even better idea. It would be better to kill two birds with one stone and make it easier to find people AND easier to send out PMs by having the "mailing list" simply be all of TDM's friends. So from now on, in order to be on the mailing list you should send a friend request to TDM Event Mule.
UPDATE SEPTEMBER 15 2009 Thank goodness for guild updates!! The mailing list soloution has been found. Instead of sending individual PMs to everyone, now we can use the guild to send out announcements! You are still welcome to add TDM Event Mule as a friend, but it will no longer ensure that you receive updates on events.
