Ri stalked around the dens, bored and annoyed. Ketu was being his usual 'dragony' self, hoarding something or other in their den. Kas was off doing Morifaer knew what...likely with Abeni or the half-Firekin boy. Nyota was elsewhere, likely the same place Hakuna had gone. And Ri had no idea where her other sister was. So that left her with nothing to do. No one to torment or spar with (she wasn't about to spar with bigger juves yet...not while was still the size of a cub) or even talk with.
So she'd settled herself to stalking around the normal pride members' dens, hoping for someone or something she could take her frustration out on. The fiery voice was louder than the icy voice today. And it demanded something to do just as much as Ri wanted something to do, perhaps more.

Xiang lay with his chin on his crossed paws, at the entrance to the den he shared with his brothers, they had just recently been removed from the Priestess' dens and into their own. Xiang didn't like it one bit, but he was slowly coming to understand that their mother, who was most important to -him-, was also very important to the pride and she was busy and they were getting bigger and needed her less. As he still was getting used to the idea, he pouted. Not while his brothers were around, never infront of them, Hiam didn't need a reason to pick on him and he wasn't about to supply another one! So when he was on his own, like now, he let himself look down and frown, for a demon, especially a pale one, he had a lot of growing up to do. Until then he was just Xiang.

The black-and-red juvenile blinked and grinned. She saw something pale in one of the den entrances. Perfect. She sauntered over, a smile on her face. Another her age. Perfect.
"Well...I didn't know the pride had another slave." What else could he be with that PALE coat. Last Moricorm knew, there was only ONE pale demon in the pride, and that was a lioness grown. "You look kind of small to be useful, though."

Xiang set to growling before he even looked up, his golden eyes narrowed at the dark and red female standing over him, he stood, and though he was small, he wasn't scrawny in the least. "I am -not- a slave!" he spat at her, not knowing nor caring who she was. His frown tightened into a grimace, he knew he wasn't weak or useless, fit only to do what others told him to do, he was a demon, just like his mother and brothers, just as strong as any other member of the pride.

Crap. The boy was bigger than her. Ah well...she'd been practicing, with Ketu's help. The fiery voice inside her wouldn't be disappointed if she had to fight something bigger than her. "You aren't? Are you certain? Well then...you certainly aren't very high on the food chain then." She chuckled. "Now me...I'M something you will never get a chance to be." SHE was a Tarenei. She was one of Iartuupe's daughters.

"What makes you think you're so special? I don't care what you are, I'm not a slave, I'm a demon, just like my mother and my brothers." Xiang defended himself from others but he wasn't about to start slashing at the female, maybe he should, that would prove that he wasn't meek, but even his quiet demon never called for blood from his fellows. "I only answer to myself."

"Only to yourself? Really now, I wouldn't let the grown-ups catch you speaking like that." Ri smiled viciously. "Who knows what they might do, if they thought you disloyal. As for why I'm so special..." She giggled...far from the innocent sound she could imitate around non-demons. "I'm a Tarenei. One of the daughters of Iartuupe himself. And I've seen the world outside. Brought fear into non-demon hearts."
