I've been talking about my grandpas .22 luger replica right? The one he promised I could have when I turn 21. Well instead he is now promising it to me as a present for when I graduate next week. biggrin

Awesomeness!
Even though it's an occasion for celebration, I still hate you because you got a Luger replica.

*group hug* Though I may have actually found a job, my first few paychecks will be reserved solely for paying my way out of debt.

Fresnel *group hug* Though I may have actually found a job, my first few paychecks will be reserved solely for paying my way out of debt. Yeah same here. Got a little less than half of what I paid for my M1 Carbine to pay off still. If I would have been able to work one or two more weeks I would have had it.

Sgt Buckner I get to go pistol shooting for the first time on Saturday! biggrin I just need to sit through a 3 hour class on safety first... stare I remember my first time firing a pistol...
.357 Smith & Wesson. No safety classes or anything, just straight to it (Although, my uncle gave me a quick 2 minute "Safety Course". That's got to count for something)
.357 is certainly an interesting round to start on, if I say so myself.

Anima_Raptor Congrats bro. I'm sure you'll be putting it through its paces soon after you get it. Of all the guns in the gun safe I'm fairly confident I've used the luger the most. The problem is finding a place to shoot. There aren't any local gun ranges, I don't have a big back yard to shoot in. If I could find a place to use it I would. We've got plenty of ammo for it. You got it easy... xp I started with a Buckmark .22, and shot that for years. Beyond the .22s I dabbled in x39 once or twice, then stuck with the .223. It was only recently I really graduated to the .30's, when I got the Enfield. Still never shot a gun between .30 cal and 20 gauge. I remember once when I was 7 or 8, I asked my mom if I could try her G17. Took one shot with it, the muzzle went skyward (but I held on), and then I just said "nope, too much kick" handed it back to her and went on back to the .22s. Don't think I even hit the target, whatever it was.
