 Jua marched off to see Yu. It was about time to take her out and about, now wasn't it? She was well-rested, healthy, and all of the Safi were allowed in the pride now, so it couldn't hurt to bring her outside and let her wander around. She only really knew her cave and the area around it, which couldn't be good for her. It was about time she got out and saw what she had dedicated herself to be a part of... not all that stay-inside nonsense.
"Yu! Love, I'm here!" He called cheerfully, always in a good mood when he went to see his self-proclaimed love-of-his-life. He didn't really know if she felt the same way... but it seemed pretty likely. In her weird way, he was pretty sure she had told him she loved him. In so many words... and a lot of really weird metaphors... But he was pretty sure that thye eventually worked out to her wanting to stay with him.
"Come on now love, don't be shy! I'm taking you for a walk all around the pride today, whether you like it or not." Though he imagined that she did. He and she both seemed to enjoy each other's company a lot more than anyone else's anyway.

Yu carefully slid out from the dark shadows of the rocks behind Jua, smiling in a dazed manner as she snuck up behind her male. A purr escaped her as she slowly rubbed against his back, leaning up against him. As always, she had missed the slightly older male while he was gone. " My Jua... You have been away for too long. A walk we shall take. "
That was an acceptance of the offer... Probably. If she was with him, then it would be fine, wouldn't it? For so long, he had been insisting her to remain in this small area. She had slowly grown weary of anything outside of the area. Until she was sure that there was nothing risky out there, she would continue in her caution.
" Where will you take me, my love? Are we going somewhere pretty? " She asked, quickly circling around him to but her head gently up against his, her purring continuing. " Somewhere fun? As long as I'm with you, I do not mind to where we go. Show me something pretty. "
Her words ofter turned out rather contradicting. Today was no different. She wanted to see something interesting, in his company.

Jua looked extremely cheery on the outside for now... but he had something a little more serious on the inside. After all, despite his good mood, he had still slept with Ursa, even though he was pretty sure he loved Yu. In a weird way, doing what he had done reminded him that he loved Yu, and tha he couldn't leave her like that again... but there was also the problem that when she called him 'love' he wasn't actually sure that she meant it. Or anything that she said. He supposed that this would confirm... one way or the other, whether or not she loved him back. And he hoped that she did.
He hoped that he hadn't just wrecked it.
"Come with me then my dear. We have a few things that we have to talk about." He told her, smile not faultering for now. Because this could go well... but it was more likely to go horribly, horribly wrong. But hey, where was pessimism liable to get him? He'd just keep bothering her, maybe tie her up and hide her, until she liked him again.
Or something like that.
"Let's head towards the oasis. You'll like it there, it's a nice spot." He grinned, stretching out and getting ready for what was to come. He had to be ready... he had to make sure she loved him.

" Oasis... " She murmured out, giving him that same dazed smile, as she moved to follow the male, walking close against his side. " That's a pretty word. It must be a pretty place. " She purred out. She seemed to be in quite a good mood herself. Though, she always seemed to be, didn't she? He had never really seen her in something that could be called a 'bad' mood. And honestly, once he did, he would NEVER want to see it again...
For now, though, she was quite oblivious to his betrayal, and guilt, taking his good mood at face value, and enjoying the time she got with her male. He had been a bit scarce lately. On some level, she felt worried about this 'talk' they needed to have.
She only pressed closer to his side when they began to pass others, despite the distance the others kept, trying to ignore their presence. " There are more here than I believed... "

"Yeah... it's all very pretty Yu, I can promise you that." Jua told her, walking, and listening as best he could, but his mind was starting to feel... well, a little crowded, ad he didn't like it when he couldn't think right. But all he could think about right now was Yu. Making sure that Yu stayed with him... but would she?
"Yu... there's something that you and I should um... talk about. And it's not very good... and I made a big mistake..." Jua said, trying to think of how to word this. "I want you to know you might not like me much anymore after what I tell you... so I'm telling you the good news first and the bad news second. The good news is, I think I love you. Like, love you like a lot." He tried to explain.
Now here was the bad news, "The bad news is... I have these two friends, Iroh and Ursa... Iroh's a boy and Ursa's a girl... and Ursa and I... well, we kind of... We slept... together. Like, not sleeping... like... having... sex... BUT I DON'T LOVE HER!" He added hastily. Because here was the deep end of the pond. "I love you! Just you! And doing what I did was stupid, but it made me realize that I don't want to be with anyone except you!"

So much for them being ignored. Many were now staring at them from Jua's outburst as Yu stopped walking to stare at him blankly with her wide green eyes. The silence stretched on for several minutes before she said only one thing. " .. I know. My heart is for you as well. "
Turning, she continued walking past him, padding through the thick sands. She stopped when he did not seem to be following, tilting her head to stare back at him curiously. " My Jua? Come! Are you not taking me to this 'oasis'? " She said impatiently as she waited for him, desiring to see this pretty place. She seemed to not even register what the lion had said to her, aside from the part about him loving her. Or, if she did hear it, she was ignoring it entirely.
Though Natara Yu may not quite be all there in the head, and her mind may drift away often... That did not mean she was stupid. Far from it. She had smelt another female on her male at his last visit. And yet, in the end, it was still her that he returned to. Still, he wouldn't be getting away with this with no punishment at all. For now, let him think he was safe. His lesson would come later.

Jua stared after her, letting out a long breath. He had done it. He had said it and she had said that she loved him back, and just like that she had forgiven him for doing something that really could have ruined him. With anyone else, he would have completely screwed up forever... but not with her. Not with his Yu. He grinned and went after her, grinning like a maniac.
"You know, I love you all the way to your eyeballs. All your insides and your outsides. If I didn't love you so much, I'd eat you." Maybe her crazy was rubbing off on him, that did sound a little gross.
"And I want to be with you. Me and Yu. Heh. Sorry, that was a lame pun. But the two of us, we'll kill together and maim together and no matter what, I'll never leave you. What I did... I hope you and Ursa can be friends, because I like her well enough, but I don't love her. She isn't you. No one can be you... you're my girl. I loved you since the moment I met you and I'll catch the stars for you if you ask me." He babbled on, thrilled with everything that had happened.
"Whatever you ask me of, I'll do it for you. So you can trust me again. Anything you want." And he actually meant it. He just wanted it to be her.

" Friends? " She practically purred out as she looked back to the male a moment, falling into step beside him to avoid wandering off in the wrong direction. " I needs only my Jua... Though... A birdy... Could my Jua bring me a birdy? It would be my most wonderful friend! I could feed it and pluck it, and wear it's pretty feathers! "
She hummed out a smile spreading across her lips. " Ursa... Ursa, Ursa, like her I shall not. I only like what's mine, and she is not you. " She said in a firm tone as she brushed against the male beside her. If it wasn't Jua. Wasn't from Jua. And didn't belong to her, she had no reason to openly like it. Though. That didn't mean she'd hate it of course. Simply remain neutral.
" ... Jua... I've thought of something I want even more than a birdy! It would be the most perfect of presents... You'll give it to me, wont you? " She questioned all of a sudden as a thought struck her. Yes, yes that's just what she wanted. Much better than a plucked little avian...
" You must say yes.. "

Jua listened to her and sighed a little, "Alright, no friends then, that's fine. Only means I get to keep you all for myself, now doesn't it pet?" He smiled a little, reaching out and running his paws through her fur fondly. His girl, and she would stay that way this time. He wasn't going to lose her... not through his own stupidity, or because of anyone else.
"Come on now, Yu, love, don't you think about Ursa. She's a lovely bird, but she's not any more interested in me than you are in... that stone over there." He mentioned offhand, "She's in love with my brother. No need to fret, we won't be playing any more stupid games together. All you and me from now on, my sweet." He wouldn't have done it again with Ursa anyway. Not now, not when everything had suddenly become so clear.
He paused a moment when she made a request, "Well love, you've got to tell me what the request is before I can say yes to it, otherwise it would be awfully silly, wouldn't it? Tell you what, I'll do both. Get you whatever you like, and on top of that, I'll get you a nice bird you can do whatever you want with. Sound like fun to you?"

Slowly, a smirk spread across her lips as she stopped to sit, peering up to him with the wide, slightly cloudy Jade eyes for a long moment, head tilting. " Very well. As my Jua has promised... He will get me a pretty birdy... and cubs to be my new little pets. We should get lots of them, yes, Jua? " She said, he tone innocent as she stood again so pad past him toward the scent of water now that they were closer to oasis.
" Ones that look like you.. and ones that look like me.. and ones that look like lions past. " She purred out in a sing-song voice, her tail swaying as she rounded the bend, stepping up to the water. " They'll be such good little pets.. "
" Much smarter than the birdy, yes? I'll teach them little tricks to entertain us... Yes, yes, that's exactly what I want, Jua. How do we make little cubs come to us, my love? "

Jua watched her a moment, and then snorted a laugh, "You want a pet bird, and a bunch of cubs? Well, I guess there's only one way to go about. We'll have to do something a little bit fun if we want to have some cubs. You're lucky day my dear, I know how to do exactly what you're asking for." He nuzzled her shoulder, grinning his head off. Yeah, he liked this request.
"I'll tell you what Yu. You and I, we're going to go at it until we have some cubs, and our own happily ever after, don't you think?" He laughed, seeming perfectly pleased with himself.
"And yeah, I think some cubs will be much better than a bird... you and me, Yu. We'll rule the world with kids as pretty as you and me. Don't you think?" He grinned, nuzzling up into her. "I'm ready to start whenever you are. We'll be the best of the best... I'm sure of that."

She hummed out curiously as she leaned into his side, her head tilting further as her ears cocked up innocently. He insisted it would be fun, so she had no reason to try to work up the energy to worry over it. Her Jua would always take good care of her, after all. Though... She really didn't much know what this 'going at it' was.
After all, Jua had, essentially, raised her. Despite them being the same age. Since she had left her family, he had always been her caretaker and teacher when he felt there was something important she needed to know of.
" 'Going at it' will give me my lovelies? Yes... We must start away... They will rule... When they're big and strong like my Jua... But when they're little, they're mummy's little dolls. And then they get old... Will that make me older? I think sometimes that all my hair will fall out and I'll be bald... You'll still be my Jua then, wont you? "

"Oh my pet, your hair will never fall out. If it does, I promise I'll pick up every piece and put it back on you. And if it won't stick, then I'll love each hair just like it were still attached to you." Jua grinned, kissing her forehead lovingly.
"Don't worry sweet heart. We're going to have a lot of fun." He promised, turning and heading towards the cave, "Come with me. I'll show you how you go about making cubs love. And I promise, it'll be a lot of fun whether we get the cubs or not."
And with that, they were on their way.
