((soon to have the cert changed)) Yaretzi wasn't so sure about herself as she made her way to the leaders dens. Xiang had told her the way, and then left her to her own devices. How was she supposed to know who the leader, this Iartuupe was? Honestly now, what if she went up to the wrong lion? He'd said look for a male wearing a scorpions tale. How hard could that be?
She stared in front of the dens, sniffing, trying to get an idea of what it was exactly that she was getting herself into. The whole place smelled of something scary, and big. She heard the demon in her head ooh-ing and aaah-ing over the place. Talking about how it was fit for a TRUE demon, and how dissapointed she was in herself for being stuck with a lioness that couldn't be mated with a male that obviously had amazing taste.
Yaretzi sneered to herself, dreading the thought of what was to come next. She'd heard rumors from other lions, that once an animal enters the lands of the demon pride, they never returned. What if this leader didn't beleive that she had a demon in her? what if she said something that ended her life? 'let them try.' she hear in her head, followed by a cackle. For some reason, her demon seemed to know that there was a fight ahead of them (even if Yaretzi didn't know this herself), and she was excited.
She sighed, not knowing what to do next. Should she go in? And possible risk insulting the leader that was currently in there.... she knew she could hear and smell someone in there, some where. Or should she simply wait out there for them to come out? Not knowing which to choose from, she did the second best thing she could think of, she called out to whoever was in there. "HEEELLOOOOOO?"

Iartuupe had, fortunately, not been sleeping at the time someone called out outside his den - but the sound was still rather loud and the Aran'shale frowned slightly, wondering who in the world that could be. No one that he knew would simply yell like that. Must be a new lion. Because if it was a slave or something of the sort, he was going to have fun killing whatever had made the noise.
Making his way down the short tunnel that connected the den to the outside, Iar growled softly as he poked his head out. "Who or what is making that noise?" he demanded - not quite in a bad mood but certainly ready to be in one, depending on the answer to his question.

Yaretzi pulled her body back when he stuck his head out of the den. Not sure what to expect to, or how to react. She quickly recovered and lifted her head, trying to make herself look as if she hadn't been taken by surprise at all. She stood at attention, as if every move she made was under srutiny, and as far as she knew it was.
"A female demon wishing to seek approval for joining the great pride of demons, feared far and wide." Yaretzi listened carefully to everything her Demon was currently screaming at her in her head to say and do and act. She lowered her ears in a submissive gesture, but did not lower her head, knowing that it would leave her open for attack. "I'm sorry for Disturbing such a powerful demon as yourself."
Yaretzi herself could have probably said those same things, but when it's being screamed into your ear, it's hard to ignore. she could tell from the way he was standing, he wasn't in a foul mood, maybe if she could butter him up a bit more, maybe he'd decide against fighting her altogether?
'I know you're not that stupid.' She heard in her head after that thought.

Iar blinked at her answer and frowned slightly - then pulled himself the rest of the way out of the den and stood before her. He was a bit taller than the female, perfect height for glaring down his nose at her. Which he did - simply because he could. Her answer had at least been respectful, even if her first impression had been one of annoying noise.
"And why have you come to such a decision, if I might ask?" he inquired then, tail tip flicking back and forth.

Yaretzi didn't look up at him and into his eyes. she knew better then that, that would be an insult. She tried to keep herself as big as she could, she tried to act as not intimidated as possible. She was taking in deep breaths, but they were quiet, at least she hoped they were quiet.
"To better serve my god of course." She looked deadly serious when she said that. It wasn't necessarily true though, in truth, she wanted to be in a pride that could handle her demon when she 'came out to play'.

Her god, was it..? That was intriguing. "And who might your god be?" he rumbled then, ears flicking back and forth a bit.
Tilting head slightly, he examined the lioness. Her coloring was appropriate... depending upon her answers to his questions, she should fit in well.

"The God of Demons." She said, as if she didn't think that there could be any other god in the whole Savannah. She knew there were, every pride she's passed through has had their own god, but in truth, the god of Demons was really the only one she was concerned with. She'd heard his name once or twice, she even remembered it, but for some reason, she herself had never said it out loud, almost as if she was afraid it would be a sign of disrespect. She always tried her best to get in the mindset that this was her pride, as soon as she heard about it. Of course, some things about the pride she didn't necessarily agree with, not that she would ever openly admit that, especially to one of the leaders of the pride.

Iar blinked at that, and considered. The god of demons, hm? He wondered if she really knew what she was talking about. "I don't suppose you know this god's name, do you?" he asked, smirking slightly.

Yaretzi frowned, her ears pressing back against her head in slight confusion at his words. Was he trying to trick her? "Of course I know his name, Morifaer (god I hope I spelled that right >.> ) My Demon has whispered his name to me countless times before. I would be dense to NOT know his name." She shook her head, still slightly confused. "Why wouldn't I know the name of the god, for the pride I wish to join? Such a thing would be foolish on my part."
