I would love to meet you all there, but I'm not sure you
would want to meet me. After all, I sound a lot different
from how I sound in actuality. I mean, I have the same
sarcastic/sardonic/witty things to say, but I don't have
the confidence in real life that I do on Gaia. I'd never
wear anything like how my avatar dresses, and I'm def-
initely not skinny or anywhere near "sexy." Imagine
me as Subaru and Tsukasa mixed into one character;
Subaru's maturity and calm demeanor online while in
actuality is a frail person, or Tsukasa's assholish person-
ality online while in real life she was actually a woman.
Not saying that I am a woman, but I hope I'm getting my
point across.

My biggest fear about meeting my guildmates is that
I'd hate to ruin any fantasies about how you think I
actually look or act, and I really would hate to fall be-
low you expectations; that is just who I am. However,
if you all can face that truth and would willingly give
up your opinions & idealistic images of "The Slate Scholar"
I would gladly seek you all out and take a few snapshots
with you all; I think it would be an interesting experience
to meet you all in real life and--as Ritsuka would say--
"make some memories" together.

So, given all that I have just told you, do you still want
to meet me at Otakon? I mean, regardless, I'm going to
find you and take some snapshots as a "random fanboy,"
and you'll never know which one was me. Just tell me what
you are going to cosplay, and I'll find you one way or an-
other for a snapshot but you just won't know it's me. So,
what is your decision?

C'mon, Slate, it doesn't really matter what anyone really looks like. Hell, I'm no teen heartthrob, but people are still friends with me, anyway.

And... it'd be freakin' amazing if people acted the same way on the internets as they do in the real world. I know I don't scream randomly (despite my love of the CAPSLOCK OF RAGE), and reallife!Twelvie is quite the awkward turtle in social situations. BL can probably vouch for this, as I was totally out of it when we met at Otakon last year.

I have no idea what point I'm trying to make anymore, but srsly. We want to meet you because we're friends, not because we think you're some kind of untouchable sex god. Although...~
